*POLL COMING*

do you need or would you like to lose? For the first time in my life, my weight has become an issue. After losing my thyroid and with the increasing back problems limiting my exercise, the weight is getting harder to control. Of course the fact that I enjoy eating ain't helping either. ;) While I'd be happy to drop 15 pounds, I really need to shed about 25 to hit my optimum weight.

Here's an anonymous poll to see how much we need to get rid of.

I hear ya! I have osteonecrosis in my hips and walking can be painful. It's hard to exercise when you have pain like this. I'm trying though!

Right now I'd like to lose about another 20 pounds. Hoping it will happen before our Disney trip in July :yay:

I would love to lose 10 lbs. But, if and when I do lose it, I'm sure it will find me again.....

Down from 320lbs to 210 as of last summer, took off 40 then at 170 now. I want to be 150 by the end of summer.

I've never had a problem with weight, but my metabolism has slowed over the past few years and I've allowed about 10 pounds to creep on. It doesn't show much since I'm so tall, but *I* know it's there.

My goal is to lose it before summer!

I don't own a scale and I was appalled when I went to the doctors last week to find that I had gained 5 lbs over the winter. My clothes ARE getting a little tight. So, I'm eating healthier and started walking on the treadmill again. Salad for lunch again today!

I'm having a hard time with my teenage dd about it, though. When she and I went to lunch the other day, I ordered grilled salmon and a baked potato with butter on the side and no dessert. She gave me a funny look and said, "Are you trying to lose weight?" I just told her I was eating healthier and she told me she hated when I did that and that "Mom's aren't supposed to be skinny." :teeth:

That is AWESOME! Congratulations!

Four years ago I started Weight Watchers to try to lose. Overall I lost 50 lbs and have stayed pretty steady since reaching my goal.

Over the last 6 months, though I've gone back up about 10, so I'd like to lose those and get back to where I feel more confortable. :sunny:

I definately could stand to lose 15 to 20 pounds. All the stress from the hurricane has had me eating too much junk. Yep, too much junk is in my trunk. ;) Sorry, I couldn't help myself. :rotfl2:

nliedel Congrats to you! It is really an inspiration.

At my highest weight last year I was 184 lbs and now I'm currently 160 lbs. my goal is another 25-30 pounds.

I'm 5-5 and weigh 140 right now. I think I "need" to lose another 10lbs and then I "want" to lose 10 more after that - or at least tone up everything!

I voted to loose more than 50 lbs. I really don't look like I need to loose that much weight, but I sure do need to.

I lost 30 lbs 2 years ago after I had my second DS. Due to a variety of factors those lbs have come back on plus a few. I would look great if I lost those 30 again but I would look fabulous if I lost 40. Just can't seem to find the motivation and that stack of size 6 Levi's sitting in the bottom of my closet haven't been calling out too loud for me yet :rotfl2:

I voted in the 41-50lb range. I'm currently 220 and I'm "in proportion" (I hate that term!)!! For me, I just don't want to look like a cow in my wedding dress. Unfortunately, I've already bought my dress, so I'm scared to lose too much weight. I dunno, if I can just lose 20lbs over the next 5 months I'll be happy. I can't wait for the warm weather so I can start walking outside!

When she becomes a mom you can remind her of this. My mom asked me once if I thought she was fat...I told her, "No mom, you're pluffy."

I'm 190 (at 5'-7") - I'd really like to be about 170. My biggest personal problem is what I call the "Dad vacuum" phenomenon. When we're out at McDonalds and daughter only eats half her fries - guess who eats the rest...

No real health issues yet (I'm 36), but I don't ever want weight to be a contributing factor.

I'm currently doing Weight Watchers. I've lost 19.6 pounds, and I have 53 left to lose. It's a long process, but I really want to lose the weight.
