I was reading how many people got CD's for Christmas...So what was your first ever CD?

Mine, was C&C Music Factory..LOL..I was soooo excited cause I got that and my CD Boombox for my birthday....

So what was your first

Mine was a Chicago Box Set in 1991. We were dating and he gave it to me for some occasion. Great, I like Chicago. The only thing was I didn't have a CD player. :confused3 He told me I could keep them at his house since he had a player. :rolleyes1

For some reason I can't remember what my first CD was. I can remember my first album, Madonna's Like a virgin, but it was in tape form.

My first CD was a special issue by 'The Body Shop' of 10,000 Maniac's MTV Unplugged. It was in handmade paper with a little bamboo piece holding it shut. I believe the CD was a benefit for promoting trade with underdeveloped countries, or something like that. I was/am a 10,000 Maniacs nut, so I had to have it. Most expensive CD I ever bought, since I had to also buy a CD player to actually play it!

I still have it in great shape, actually, but I managed to lose the little bamboo piece. :rotfl::rotfl:

I don't remember my 1st. I didn't get a CD player until the summer before leaving for college in 1993. I bought a lot of used CDs. I do remember my 3rd CD was U2's Joshua Tree, and my Dad bought it for me.

jeez im afraid to even admit this but i think my first cd was Jordy, the french little kid who sand dur dur etre bebe, he was on some morning show and i loved the song, it was catchy..hahahahahahah needless to say i still have the cd and i always think about the cd era starting with it!!..hahahaha

George Michael, "Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1"

I even remember the first cassette I ever bought; Culture Club "Colour By Numbers." And album...I saved up my allowance for weeks to buy Duran Duran's debut album in 1981.

Bruce Springsteen's boxed set in 1986. My boyfriend at the time bought it for me even though I didn't have a CD player yet. Love it to this day!

Wilson Phillips- self titled for first cassette
Prince- Diamonds and Pearls for first cd

My first cassette was The Jacksons Torture

My first CD was Linear. I wish it was something way more exciting! :lmao: my dad was all proud that Christmas that he had gotten me something great. they had one hit. "sending all my love" it was pretty catchy

I keep wanting to say Achtung Baby! whenever this question comes up, but to be honest I don't remember.

I am pretty sure my first cassette was The Joshua Tree, but it might have been Pump or something from Billy Joel or Phil Collins.

My first record was either Thriller or a Chupmunks album.

My first CD was N sync when I was 10 maybe. It was either that or Britney Spears Oops!... I Did It Again.

I don't remember EVER buying a cd in the 80s because I worked in radio and got them all for free. I do remember my program director bringing in the first cd player and all of us gathering around to see this "laser" play a record...

man, i'm old...:scared1:

The Little Mermaid soundtrack for Christmas in '89 or '90. I didn't have my own CD player yet but we had the "communal" CD player in the living room. It was one of those fancy 10-disc changer deals. Man, that thing was a beast! :lmao:

First Album- The "Annie" Soundtrack

First "Pop" album: Michael Jackson-Thriller (I remember having to wait because the record store (remember those?!) was all sold out.

First REAL Rock & Roll Album: Bon Jovi- Slippery When Wet

First CD's (bought together): Blind Melon- Blind Melon and Soul Asylum- Grave Dancer's Union

Tag Team - "Whoomp There It Is"...

I was so excited! Must have been 1991 or so??? I was about 12/13.

My first tape I ever got was Poisons "Look what the cat dragged in".
