Inspired by Simba&Nala....Do you still have your high school class ring?

Mine was stolen out of my house while I was having an illicit party while my parents were out of town. Served me right, I guess.

Yes, I do still have mine and I still wear it...I don't know why, I just have never taken it off since I got it my Junior year! :)

<font color=navy>I used to wear my '78 class ring everyday. I lost it, though, in '80 playing softball. :(1

I still have mine as well, although it says class of 1988 on it.
I paid for mine, myself.. so it was fun "designing" it per say.

DH lost his.. he says it was stolen , who knows?

I still have mine for 1980, it sits perched in my jewelry box. I wish I could remember what it cost at the time. I bet not much compared to what they probably cost today. What is the going rate and is Josten's still the big class ring dealer?

Nope mine is gone too. my school ring went To an ex who did whatever with it. I paid too much money for that ring....sigh!

I still have mine - class of '75. DH has his as well. I even have my mom's - she kept it in a jewelry box and I found it after she died.

I still have mine, class of 198* and one of my Mom's class of 194*. Someone stole DH's while he was in college, but I have his Army one!!

Mine is in my jewelry box...class of 1996. Haven't worn it since I started college.

DH didn't get a ring. I think he may get one from college.

in my jewery box my hubby has his someplace.

Nope gave it to a girl I was dating on and off over the course of 3 years. When I asked for it back she said she lost it:mad:

Class of 71, DHs same school class of 73 and DSs (so he doesn't "misplace" it class of 95. I never went to college, DS never did, DH did for a year, so these will be the only class rings we ever have.

Still have mine..:) somewhere

Yes, I have mine and my hubby's. I did take the yarn off of his ring. I had it wrapped around the back so that I could wear it.

Neither SO nor I ever got one. We went to the same high school. It just wasn't an important thing for me, it was money that could be spent elsewhere. Not that many people I knew even got rings. It just wasn't big at our school. I don't have one from college either, for the same reasons. I think it is a waste of money, since I know I would never wear it. I never got a class jacket either, although those were huge at my school.

My mother still has her ring. She went to a high school in Miami. The were called the Rebels. Right before her senior year, they decided that wasn't PC any more so they changed it to something else (don't remember, but it was silly). My mom was upset and did not buy the school class ring, but went somewhere else and had them make a class ring that said Rebels on it.

I wish I did still have my high school class ring. Sorry to say that when our home was robbed several years ago, it was stolen from my jewelry box. It meant a lot to me, and I have always been sad about that.

Marie

I can go look at mine any time I want to. I had the pleasure of donating my ring (class of 1946) to our High School Museum.
