So many of you talk aboout burning different scents in different rooms. I don't do this but would like to take a drastic step forward and try it.

So here are the Questions of the Day:

1. How do you decide which scents you use for each room?

and

2. Have you ever had a candle scent disaster? (clashing scents)

and

3. Do you have any suggestions of complimenting scents? (You know the ones that smell good together)

The fruit and food scents I'll use in the kitchen. I like florals around the house. They blend nicely together for the most part.

I'm not daring. I generally just burn a tart in the living room. Sometimes I'll do one up in the bedroom too, but it will be the same scent.

At Halloween I put out 3 ceramic jack-o-lanterns all with chocolate scented YC in them. The house smells heavenly during Halloween.

I am also a floral person but more towards the holiday season I will combine some scents, for example -

Apple/Macintosh with Cinnamon or

Pumpkin Pie with Cinnamon

or something with a cinnamon scent I will combine throughout the house. Or like balsamic fir with Christmas wreath or something like that.

I have had scent clashing disasters...I don't remember what the scents were but I decided it was best to burn them alone!!!!

I do also tend to buy several things of one scent - like a jar candle for a big room and then maybe a tart for my tart burner or a couple of votives for some of the smaller rooms.

I usually burn scents that go with the holidays/time of the year...In Spring, I like to burn Green Grass, Tulips, Sunflower, ect...In Summer, Midsummer Nights, Ocean Water, Seaside holiday...In Fall, Harvest, Spiced Pumpkin, Warm Apple Crisp...and in Winter, Christmas Wreath, Christmas Cookie, Home for the Holidays...

I really love all the scents and if I don't have any of the above on hand, I will burn what I like best from my selection! LOL :)

I honestly just buy and burn any scent that my nose seems to like at the moment. I don't put any special scent in any special room and I burn what I feel like smelling at the moment :)

I haven't had a clash of scents because I only burn one scent at a time usually. I spend a lot of time in our great room, so that is where the majority of the burning takes place :) Because of that I couldn't tell you how to blend scents together.
