Inspired by psychic thread--ghosts?

Okay, it's late and I'm up. . .and reading that other thread, I started wondering if anyone has seen a ghost. . .and I don't mean at the Haunted Mansion.

I never 'believed' but had an experience every night in the hotel room I stayed in Corfu this summer with my mum and aunt.

Every single night at 3.30am footsteps shuffled across the room (the first night, I thought an intruder had got in!!). I was also woken several times each night by someone speaking in my ear.

The funny thing was that neither my mum or aunt heard anything.

I have never seen, but I do believe. In fact when my cats stare at nothing(at least I think its nothing) I always tell DH his Mom is visiting. Who knows for sure.

I've never seen a ghost but I've heard them before.

I lived in an old house in Germany that had been converted into 3 apartments--I'd often hear footsteps running on the stairs when no one was in the building but me and I'd hear the padlocked attic door slamming open and shut. I'd go to investigate, knowing I was the only one home, and there would be no one there.

I had one visit from my dad right after he died, as well.

Anyways, I had one weird experience. . .I was sleeping at a friend's house in high school. And, we slept in the attic guest room (very old house). At about 3am, we both woke up and saw a ghost over on tthe other side of the room. We talked about it for 30 minutes, but weren't too alarmed or anything like that. Our response to it was very calm and not even surprised for some reason (and we hadn't had any experiences like this before). Anyways, in the morning, we didn't even talk about it or remember.

It was a year later or so, that something jogged my memory, and I brought it up to her. She remembered immediately and we spoke about it then, but it was so vague. . .as if our memory had been repressed or something. Very strange responses, we both thought.

My mom had an experience, too (I posted some of her psychic experiences on the psychic thread). Anyways, when my sister was a baby, the crib was in my parents' room. Her Dad (my grandfather) had recently died. My mom entered the room in the dark and saw my grandfather over my sister's crib. That was that. . .he was looking over the crib and looked at my mother, and then disappeared.

I've never seen a ghost, but I believe. Even though I don't have anything to back it up with. I've always prayed and hoped to have an encounter with my grandmother. But alas, nothing. No dreams of her or anything no matter how much I will myself to try to.
