DH and I have talked forever about taking our DS to WDW for the first time. We always like to stay at a different resort. DH has never stayed at CR, I have. DH stayed at the Poly when he was younger, I have not. We both cherish our memories of being small kids in the 70s and early 80s staying at the monorail resorts. So we've pretty much decided we want to do a split stay between CR and Poly - so we each get to stay somewhere new, AND so DS can experience seeing the MK from our room, etc. BTW, he'll be 5 when we go (yes, that's four years from now, lol!)

So if you had to choose which one to stay at first on a split stay (say 3-4 days evenly divided)... which would it be, Poly or CR? I can't forget the first time I came out on the balcony at CR all those floors up, and saw the castle... but should that be a first memory for DS or a last one? How would you plan it?

I'd stay at CR first, then Poly. IMO, Poly is the better resort and I'd want to save the best for last.

I would go with the Polynesian 1st and Contemporary 2nd because the Magic Kingdom view rooms at the Contemporary are so amaizing, you will want to save the best for last.

:lmao: Okay, we're 1-for-1... who's gonna be my tie-breaker?? :rotfl2:

Me me :rotfl:

For us you can't beat sitting on your balcony at the Contemporary watching the world go by and watching Wishes in the evening so I'd do the Poly first and CR second. We love the Contemporary but have a stay booked at the Poly this summer so it will be interesting to see how they compare
