Inspired by Mishetta: Do you make *your* bed?

I'm a guilty one, here. The bed doesn't get made unless either new/freshly-washed sheets have just been put on it, or we're going to have company, or the sheets/comforter are so tangled it needs to be done.

How about you?

Ummm...maybe a few times a year - like when company is coming and they might go upstairs to see the house!!!!!

Everyday, usually right after my shower. And when the kids are with us, they make their beds, too.

I'm an everyday bed maker. It just feels so much nicer to get in a bed after you've pulled down the covers.

The poll was about our bed - yes it gets made every day because it's a water bed and it stays warmer that way. The kids beds, that's another story!

I voted every morning no way, I do pull the sheets up most mornings but don't worry about it being perfect and sometimes forget to even do that when I am racing out in the morning.

actually our bed isn't made yet..but dw has to make it before we go to bed and since I was the last one up, I have to make it...

I can't leave the house unless all my beds are made, and all the dishes are out of the sink and washed. My kids also - they know they need to make their bed as soon as they wake up in the morning.

Nope... and truthfully I don't like getting into a tightly made bed either. If I come across them at hotels, I have to go around and untuck everything.

I straighten my bed everyday. It may not be first thing in the morning, but sometime during that day before I climb back in. Wrinkled sheets bug me. lol

I make my bed and my daughter's bed every morning. For some reason it drives me nuts if they are not made.

I would make it as soon as I get up, but somebody's still in it! I usually get around to it every day - eventually!

I dont, but DH does. Im up first and the bed not made wouldnt bother me(Im never in the bedroom until bed time). Since DH gets up last, plus he was in the army where he was brainwashed into needing a well made bed everyday, that quickly became his job when we got married.

Yes, it is usually one of the first things I do in the morning....DH teases that if he gets up to go to the bathroom, I have the bed made before he gets back (not true). But I do like all the beds made before we leave in the morning. Kids make their beds..DS very reluctanly and DD does it as soon as she wakes up.

Well thank you Rajah....I'm flattered that I inspired your thread!

Naturally in our house the beds are made very tidy and first thing! If not, they get re-made (sometimes up to 3 times) before they are! Too bad our 15 month old can't reach his crib yet, he'd be tidying that up too!

Last one out of it makes the bed everyday during the week, that's DH. On the weekend I aways sleep late, he always makes the bed! It really bugs me when my son visits and leaves the guest room a mess and the bed unmade, butthere are so many other things to be concerned with...........

OK, here's the trick that works great for those of us who can't sleep tucked in. . .
Stand on the bed, up by the headboard (wash your feet 1st! ). Line up the top edge of the sheet, blanket & beadspread and grab them all, as far apart as you can reach.
Do "the wave" with both hands and let the sheets settle into position.
