This hit me the other day.

Do you remember when you were in your late teens, early 20s and you used to see commercials for that show Thirtysomething, and the show was of no interest to you at all because it was about old people. Do you realize you are now those old people? Scary isnt it?

I was in college when that show was on, and I LOVED it -- it was a "ritual" in my dorm for a bunch of us to get together to watch it, even though we were "too young." Then again, we also got really into "Beverly Hills 90210" even though we were too OLD for that! (Yikes, how embarassing. Did I just admit I liked that show?)

But I KWYM -- I can't believe that I'm now "as old as" the people in "Thirtysomething!"

What is really scary is when you leave your 30's. Last July I turned 40, it was not good. Now that I am almost 41, I realize I am in the best time of my life.
I know who I am and what I want and won't settle for less.

Good luck to you 30 somethings, and just prepare yourselves for that 40th birthday.

It will be here sooner than you know!!

Yes! I always thought- why would I want to watch that?Thats for older people!
Well, at 33, Im one of those older people now!
StampMom- I never missed an episode of 90210 and DH liked it more than I did. I still tease him about that.

I remember that show and feeling that way. Now I'm about to hit that age.

LOL! Im glad to see Im not alone. :D

And yep, I consider the characters on 90210 and Melrose Place our peers, even thought Im a few years older than the 90210 gang.

Thats sooo..true..my mom & dad thought that 30 something show was GReat!! I NEVER watched it..I thought it was sooo stupid.

Psych...15 Years Later....thats ME!!!!

Thanks for reminding me!!

CamColt, you just depressed the heck out of me ;)

I'm right there with you all. I can remember as a teenager thinking, "Wow, in 2000 I'll be 32." Seemed like a long time ago. Now I wish I was that young again.

As one of my favorite movie characters (Indiana Jones) said:

"It's not the years.....it's the mileage!"

Oh my goodness....I am totally depressed because I think I may be OLDER than the people in Thirtysomething! I am going to be 35 on Sunday, and I am really having a hard time with it - more than any other birthday. I mean - I've got gray hair and wrinkles and everything! I still feel young - but I feel like I am looking old!

PS- another 90210 fan here!
