How many of you DIS'rs have worn the lime green or Dis t-shirts to the parks and been recognized and approached by other Dis'rs? I used to wear lime green ribbons with Mickey ears and then this last year I was hanging out with a fellow Dis'r with a Dis t-shirt on and I wondered if we would get approached by anyone else, but it's never happened.

I use my lime green shirt to wash the car with now. No one ever (or would admit) recognized me as a Diser. I did approach 2 ladies once that were wearing lime green. I explained that I was a Diser and pointed out that since they were dressed in lime green I wondered if they were also Disers. Their eyes got big, they looked at each other then took off running! :scared1: DH nearly fell out laughing. Now when he sees somebody in one of the parks wearing lime green, he pushes me toward them and says "Go ahead...run some more off!" :rotfl:

I didn't wear a lime-green shirt but I did cut out and laminate the lime green Mickey ears from the Home Depot Disney paint sample cards. I attached it to my back pack and 2 people stopped me and asked if I was on the Dis. :thumbsup2 I thought that was so cool.

I used to wear lime green on certain days while at WDW....I have rethought that idea. I don't know how some people would react to meeting Tiggersmom... :lmao: :lmao:

Same thing happened to me. I recognized a lady who posts her picture all the time, saw her, and introduced myself. She looked at me like I had 3 heads

I've worn teh ribbons and hte shirts. not been recognized yet. But I did chase down one guy with a ribbon on his bag. turns out the air port put it on there. (I think he was a diser, but didn't want me to know it) ;)

I have! Last July a lady spotted my Home Depot Mickey head and approached me. She was very sweet. She told me her screen name, but when I did a search when I got home, I couldn't find it - I probably spelled it wrong.

I did! Or rather my son. He had on a Dis shirt on the bus from the Dolphin to Animal Kingdom. Jellyrolls was behind him and we started up a great conversation. It was such a wonderful morning! She helped us ride the new coaster at AK and we had so much fun all morning. It was our lucky day! :teeth:

Wow! that is really cool. I did the lime green mickey heads for 2 years in a row and nothing.... People would probably be scared I had my hamster with me though if they found out it was me. haha.

I have the lime green DIS shirt in the BIG 8x size, and I wear it as a swim coverup. Nobody has ever approached me when I have it on (maybe it's because I look scary in a swimsuit :teeth: ).

I did get several DISers last October approach me- DD, DH, and I all had the Home Depot lime green Mickey heads attached to our backpacks (DD even has hers on her lanyard with her "in case I get lost" info on it.

It was neat to have other DISers to chat with!! We mostly got approached at the bus stop at Pop, waiting to head to the parks in the AM.

I've never met a DISer at WDW by accident. I once bought some lime (not fluorescent) green ribbon and made a small bow that I pinned to my shirt. I got compliments on it and questions, but that was it. I've never gotten any DIS clothing, since I don't care for fluorescent green or logo shirts.

I'm never really looking for DIS ribbons or logos anyway. It sucks to have low vision and have to pay more attention to terrain and other guests who are 'wowed' by the surroundings and clueless about other podestrians. Chris isn't on the lookout either, so it's doubtful we'll ever 'bump' into an unknown DISer at WDW.

I met some DISers last year but it was becasue of my Crocs not anything Lime Green.
I met one lady on the bus b/c she asked me about my Crocs and I explain how I found out about them and she said she was a DISer too. Then I saw another family was actually wearing Crocs beach and Nile style shoes. We chatted about the shoes and found out we were both DISers. :goodvibes

You need to wear a lime green kilt with the mouse ears. Then you'll be recognized in the parks. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

:lmao: Holy crap, that was funny.

I've worn lime green ribbons on every stupid trip to WDW for the last 3 years and nary a fellow DISer to be seen.

...at least, none have approached me. I can be very intimidating.
