Also agree with Flying Fish, heard so many good things and it just wasn't that good (my meal was blaaa), dh's was better and the salads were microscopic. DD's dinner cost $10 off the kid's menu and she didn't touch it.

Another vote for Chef Mickey's when it comes to food, blaaa. Very mediocre, but the characters are great, the desserts were good too, tough to justify such a high price tag for characters and dessert, but I'm gonna give it another chance.

PSB was another really bad one we experienced. Food was terrible, cold, undercooked. Service was terrible. Characters rushed. But, I'm giving this one another chance (on WDW's wallet).

I do have to put my 2 cents in about CRTs, we've been there 3x, food is ok, not great but not awful. The first 2 times we had a great server but last time we had a real dud. That can make or break a meal. I did feel rushed this past time, (unlike the first 2 times), but my dd loves this and it makes her soooooo happy. That's what WDW is all about! I will continue to take her here for breakfast whenever we can get a PS for as long as she loves it because she won't be a little girl forever

Most Overrated - IMHO - Le Cellier

The food was good, mind you, but not up to expectations, especially considering all of the great comments I have read.
The Prime Rib sandwich for lunch was good, but for $15+ for an 8" sub roll, it should be. Also, the plate came with exactly 10 french fries. (Yes 10, b/c I counted them.) The plate looked so empty, it was comical. I would think that french fries are not so expensive that it would make any sense to skimp on them.

This is not a knock on the food. The bread and soup were great.
But, along the topic of this thread, I would have to say Le Cellier.
(Next closest vote for 'most overrated' would be Bongo's, but I will save that for an upcoming review).

You don't live in NJ! It would cost the same or more here! We don't get sticker shock at WDW...in many cases the prices are comparably cheaper!

Unfortunately, many of the places we ate on our last trip were pretty bad, or blah... These would include, BOMA for dinner, CRT for lunch and 50's PTC for dinner. I will give Le Cellier a slight advantage, their food was ok, but nothing special (granted this was at lunch...). We are NOT picky eaters, but nothing was very exciting at any of these restaurants!

Le Cellier - service there was almost as bad as Rainforest Cafe during a busy time, and this place was nearly empty.

Whispering Canyon - The ribs were dry, dry, dry - bleh!

I had been dying to try Beaches & Cream for about two years - we just never made it. On our trip last summer, I made a point of going.

We were not impressed with our burgers from Beaches & Cream. I took maybe two bites - it tasted too salty or something. DH ate most of his, but did not enjoy at all. But my 15 yr old DD LOVED hers! (Other two daughters didn't really care - they were there for the ice cream!)

We did like the ice cream though.

I always hear everyone rave about Tonys, but we were very displeased with the food and atmosphere(fruit flies all around us). Not only was it bad, but it was way over priced. I dont usually think WDW restaurants are expensive like some people, but $17.00 for gross spaghetti I think is a bit much.

Oh yeah... I forgot about that one. It was pretty bad.

Chefs De France...a puffed up experience without the quality substance one would expect from a place associated with names like Bocuse, LeNôtre, and Vergé.

There are few on my list:
Liberty Tree Tavern character dinner--- food is blah... tastes like the frozen food entrees in our local grocery
Chef Mickey's--- service only so-so... characters not very accessible, food blah
Crystal Palace--- not enough character interaction, food blah
Whispering Canyon Cafe--- ribs dry, service slow, and TOO loud and the antics are nerve wracking, not amusing.

Well I will have to say that none of Disney's food is all that great! It's OK but I've never eaten anything at disney that I just can't live without. IMHO it all tastes the same.

I absolutely must agree with Tony's. We found the food to be just horrible, service slow, and all around just plain BAD.

Cindy's for breakfast. The food was mediocre and we felt kinda rushed. After all the stress and work it took to get the PS I was pretty disappointed. Although the look on my dds' faces when Prince Charming and Cinderella stopped by is a priceless memory.

Sci Fi gets worse each time we go there. Now that DS and DD are teenagers and a bit more "into" their food selections, I don't think it will even make our next trip.

Mexico in WS was a real disappointment for us as well. Poor service. The appetizer nachos we had were cold and the margaritas must be made with a teaspoon of tequila and some generic mix--I've had better in our local bar!
(I do love the indoor market and watching the glass blower, though).

Mama Melrose's in Disney Studios was not worth the price either. We had it as part of our Fantazmic package or we'd have gone elsewhere.

I'll have to say food wise that SAN ANGEL INN is over-rated. The atmosphere is spectacular, but to me the food was just average. I paid $70 for a meal that just didn't sit right with me.

I honestly have enjoyed most places in Disney where I have ate, but if I have to pick, I would say Flying Fish...The food was just okay and I had heard so many wonderful reviews about it, I was sure it was going to be excellent! I think I just got my up my expectations! LOL

I do love Le Cellier though, it is my favorite!

My #1 overrated is Yachtsman Steakhouse. I saw this featured on the Travel Channel and my DW and I wasted some wishes on it during our trip last Nov. Mediocre food; RUDE greeting (oh, hello, please stand over there until WE are ready for you), ok service.

I am just lucky I guess. Or maybe it is because I am from New Jersey and hold season passes for Six Flags due to our close proximity. Now there is some bad food! Can't find a decent meal anywhere in that park. When I am in WDW, i feel like I am pretty sure to get decent food everywhere. Everytime I read these bad food threads I wonder why it hasn't happened to me. Maybe because we usually go in November when the crowds are down? I am going for spring break this year. I hope my luck holds out. I will let you know!
