I always have nicknames for the kids.

I used to call my son "Boy" a lot ... one day in exasperation, he told me,

"Mom, my name is NICK. In fact, YOU gave me that name! Please use it!!"

I still call him Boy :teeth:

Thats so funny! I just recently have been trying to stop calling my son "Boy" and he's 20. First he was Mr. Baby, then Bubba then Boy. Sometimes I still slip and call him Boy!

DD Alyssa (18) - I call her baby girl - Leelee - Lissy - DH calls her Lu - DS always called her Yaya.

DS Christopher (16)- I call him Chris - so does DH - DD used to call him Buddy and for a long time Chritopher Jeanne because that's her middle name.

My 2nd DD and my DS are a year apart...and are inseparable. We call them "Dingo and Dango." It's funny, because if you ask them "Who is Dingo and who is Dango?" You hear " I'm Dingo!" "I'm Dango!" BTW, those nicknames are only used together. We didn't assign one to each of them, lol.

My oldest's nickname was Doopie, but at 12 she outgrew it. We do still call her Catrin R. Rose a lot, though. My grandma got a little confused sometimes, and one year wrote my DD Caitlin Rose B. a check for her birthday. She wrote it out to Catrin R. Rose. We all laughed, even Grandma, and the nickname stuck.

DS6 will hate this nickname soon...."Dixie Doodle." Aka "Bweeker."

DD3 Rosalia is "Sammy" (no reason at all why), "Lia", "Rosie", "Lilo", and "Snickle Pickle." She likes "Rosie-Rosers" (and calls Dad "Daddy-Waddy", calls oldest sister "Sissy-Sisserss", calls me "Mommy Mommers."

2nd DD Marissa (Dingo) is "ookie finookie", "Ma-Ssa-za", and her personal favorite....."Snorkus Pie."

I call my DD "Pumpernickel" or "Miss Falulah"- I have no idea where I came up with either one!

Whan she was a baby, I called her "Baby Bug"- DH still calls her "Bug".

Everyone in the family- Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, etc- calls her Miss Kate.

My DS 20 is called Peaches now. His first boss loved him to death and the other employees started calling my DS the bosses "little peach". It stuck. If you called his office and asked for him by his real name they had to think about who you were talking about! They even had that embroidered on his work shirts. That was when he was 14 and it's particularly amusing now because he's 6 foot 3! When he was a baby he was pooper (for obvious reasons!) and senor wentzes (short for senor wentzes in his pantzes). His girlfriend calls him Punkin' or baby and his boss now calls him kiddo.

Younger DS 17 is called Nickel, nickie pickie, nickel pickel or just pickel. When he was a baby we called him pickel poop. Hmmm, I think we had a fixation :teeth: . His friends call him Nickel, Pim or porkchop.

We call some of their friends by nicknames that we made up and they have stuck. We have weazel, stinky feet, snizzle, chopper, angel, hula, go Joe etc.

DD#1, age 3, I usually call by her name "Julia", but sometimes it's Julia-Boolia, Punkinhead, or Monkey Girl.

DD#2, age 16 months, is was nicknamed Katie-bug by MIL, and it stuck, often now I just call her Bug, Buggy, or Bugaboo.
