Inspired by imsorry's nicknames thread. What do you call your kids?

I have so many already. Her name is Kylie and the one I call her the most (and have managed to convert dh to calling her this as well! :teeth: ) is Ky-Ky. I also call her Kyliekins, Pumpkin Pie, Honey Bunches of Oats, and my little teething monkey! She has her 2 bottom teeth coming in right now and is constantly grabbing my finger to gnaw on it which is how the teething monkey nickname was born. I know, I know, I am such a geek! :rotfl:

I call my son Bubba, or Bean..Carter Dean Jelly Bean...

As for my daughter, her name is Rayne..we call her rainey, raina, nay nay, renaynay

I always have nicknames for the kids.

I used to call my son "Boy" a lot ... one day in exasperation, he told me,

"Mom, my name is NICK. In fact, YOU gave me that name! Please use it!!"

I still call him Boy :teeth:

My DS
Pumpkin
sweetheart
boy
big guy
son
hon
Neeko-leeko
mijo (my son in Spanish)

My DD
Pumpkin
sweetie-girl
KC (her initials)
girl
honey
mija (my daughter in Spanish)

and others that come to mind. :)

DD12 is "Bug"....derived from "Taterbug". :confused3 (DH started that one). She had lots of other names when she was younger, but only "Bug" stuck.

DD8 is "Monkey" or "Boo Boo". When she was younger, my dad called her "Onion" because she had a bald head.

DD24 is called Dis. I called her that way before I discovered The Dis board. When she was small she would say, "look at dis" either that or I would call her Boo cause she was so white.

DD11 is Boo bear, and angel by me. DH calls her pumpkin.

We call Paul "Paully Wog" or "Paully Wally Doodle Bug".

My three kids are:

Ashley Taylor, Fuzzy Bear
Jacob Oren, Squishy, because when I hug him I squish the squishies out of him
Joshua dale, Boo Boo, because that was his first words and they stuck

Screwey Rooey and Psychadellicdoohead. Don't ask!

We call our daughter Jenna "Ninny". I have no idea how that started. I think I kind of morphed from other nicknames.

Let's see..... we have Katie lady or Katie Cat, Osh Kosh B'Gosh Josh or Buddy and last but not least.. Pook Chook or Pook Chook jinga winga winga wop. I was karebear when I was a kid.

I call my DD3: Sister Bear, Sissy or Sis. She even calls herself Sissy now.

I call my DS6: Buddy, Trey-ster, Trey-man or Trey-man-do. I used to call him the Kicky Monster when he was a baby because he kicked so much.

I call them both names like Knucklehead, Monkey Butt, or Skeezicks when they're being silly.

DH calls DD12 Catfish. That is what his mom's dad called her.
DD's name is Lindsay. I call her Lins.

DH calls DS8 Boy. Grates my nerves!
DS's name is Tyler. I call him Ty-Bo or Buddy.

DH's name is Buddy. Honest to goodness, on the birth certificate, parent-given name....NOT a nickname! Actually, he is a junior...What were they thinking!

For some reason I never called my DD13 any cutesy names. Her name is Kaysie, so I guess there wasn't much to go with there. A friend of mine called her Quesadilla or Que Sa rah (?). She hated that. Another friend called her Shi**y, for some reason. When she was really little she would say, " I your Shi**y, Shannon". Not appropriate, but cute for some reason.

DD11 was Courtney Portney Poogie Bear! She HATES that now. DD5 LOVES to torment her with it, lol. She was a chubby baby, and that name just seemed to fit her. I called her Chunky Butt for awhile too, but quit when I thought she might take it to heart and think she was fat.

DD5 is Saydie Bug, Say Say bugaboo, or just Bug. Right now she likes it and even calls herself bugaboo sometimes. I collect lady bugs because of her. The day I had her a lady bug landed on my shoulder and I told my DH that it might be our lucky day and maybe I'd go into labor. Sure enough, she was born that night.

My DH and DD5 call each other Dude. They are great buddies and play video games and sports together. He would ask her, "what ya wanna play next dude?" and she started calling him dude and it stuck. So, instead of daddy, he's Dude. :sunny:

DS 1 is "Sweetpeas" or "Sonshine" (that was before I had heard of the learning series by that name, and I thought I was so original!).

DS 2 is "Pooky" or "Changito" (baby monkey in Spanish) because he climbs on us, or wants to be held and then climbs around to our back or over our shoulders and has since under one year old.

We also call them both "Baby" from time to time.

My DH's family calls him "Junior". Mom also calls him "jito" (nicknamish for little son), and his dad calls him "El Hijo Grande" (THE big son).........we all joke that we know who was the prince in that family! That grandpa also calls all the under 4s "Chiquitito".............like little, little one, and the bigger boys Papa and the girls Mama.

My family just called me by name, and sometimes my parents used "honey". My dad calls all grandkids "booger"...........makes no difference if they are boys or girls.

When my dd was 5 she decided she wanted to be shirley temple. so she changed her name from Sydney to Shirley.....................even wrote that name on her camp shirt, I was hysterical laughing when I saw it.
Her middle name is Milan, so when she was a baby we called her lonnie.
My son`s name is Charles and we call him Chalie. When he was a baby we called him choo-choo.

We call Madison "Me-Ma", which is a name she sorta gave herself. She liked to play this game (still does actually) where she'd call my name sorta long and drawn out "maaaaaaa-ma" and I'd respond with "Madison-ma" and she'd laugh and do it again. Well then she learned to call herself 'me', as in 'me do it', the favorite phrase of toddlers. Well I guess cause I would say Madison-ma in her little game, she decided that you add that on the end of words (kinda makes sense, like mama) so she started saying "me-ma do it" and it stuck. Other than that we usually call her Madisinny, which has been her nickname since she was an infant. Most people we meet ask if we call her Maddie, and though we thought we would before she was born neither of us has ever called her that yet.

Okay, now that is too funny b/c when I was a kid my grandfather would call me Osh Kosh B'Gosh Tash or Tasha Washa. I hated both of those as a kid but now that he's gone I wouldn't mind hearing those again! :guilty:

My oldest son, Sage, is pretty much down to Sagey Pants and frankly, he hates that at this point. :)

My youngest, however, still has several. His name is Cole but when he was born he looked the color of cocoa so he became "Cocoa" and sometimes "Cocoa Puff". Then when he was first starting to talk he used to yell out "Chabba!" so he became "Chabba" which also morphed into "Chewbie" and "Chewbinstein" sometimes...don't ask me why. :confused3 He also is sometimes referred to as Cole Bear but no story behind that one. One day it just came out of my mouth.

This nickname thing has been a reoccurring pattern in my life however. Don't get me started on how many "names" my cats have. :)

My DD, 17, is Sarah Pie or just "Pie".

My DS, 13, I just call "Derek Boy" (from the Henry Fonda movie "Spencer's Mountain) or I'll just say "Hey, man" (as in "Hey, man, how was school today).
