Inspired by imgoingtodisney...Do you keep "good" items for special occasions only??

I have some jewelry that I only wear for special occasions. Nothing really expensive, just things that I’d rather not lose (like Mickey pins and earrings). Oh, and a Mickey watch that I don’t wear every day because I don’t want to scratch it.

I STILL have a couple of slips and camisoles from years ago that I only wore for special occasions. Of course, I couldn’t fit my big toe in them now. (They must have shrunk over the years. :D ) I have no idea why I still keep them, except maybe I still have hope that I’ll be able to wear them again some day.

Amazing how thing shrink while hanging in the closet or sitting in the drawer!! LOL Mine does that also! :)

Nope. I am one of those people who doesn't have a lot of fancy stuff but what I have I use.

I think a lot of it is generational. My grandmother is very much like this. She has lived 88 yrs. and has never really allowed herself to enjoy life at all. :( That is so sad to me. She has money and yet scrimps and saves like whoever has the most wins. We all laugh about it but it really is a sad thought. I know she is saving for a rainy day. But at 88...

I , on the other hand, will be wet on a rainy day.
