Inspired by 'Ignored' threads, calling all invisible posters!

It happens to me. I also know that I may be guilty of not answering questions asked in threads that I have posted. For example, when my mother died and I posted. I think there may have been questions posed that I did not answer. I was just not emotionally able to do so at the time.

Do you ever make a point in a thread and then someone that posts after you makes the same point and gets the responses?

Do you ever make a comment directly to someone in a thread and they never answer?

I'm so glad this thread is here to vent, because I'm so frustrated right now with that stupid LOST Season 2 thread, lol.

Someone posted a theory with information that I know is incorrect. I (thought) I politely replied, suggesting that perhaps she was remembering incorrectly. I didn't want to point fingers or do a neener neener or anything, but the particular info had taken on it's own life on other boards I visit, and it's just annoying when people take off with theories that have already been disproven.

Anyway, wouldn't you know it, responses to the original INCORRECT information are still coming in, even after I replied - TWICE - with the corrected version.

Oh well. Most people want to lose weight - apparently I've hit my goal of INVISIBLE!!

OMG - I am ignored all the time! (Insert big, giant pouting smiley here!) On the rare occasion that I start a thread, it gets like 3 replies, tops. Oh well, I am much more of a lurker anyways.

me too! It blows my mind to see some people here only a month and they have like 500 or more posts-yikers. We will probably get harassed for being lurkers, but we have been here a long time.

most of the time. Sometimes I'm the one who gave most help like sharing infos and someone else gave very little, but she gets the credit and I get ignored with no "thank yous." Or I would ask something.. and someone else ask the same thing... but she gets tons of replies... and I get very little or non at all... Sometimes I feel like it's favoritism.

First of all I want to say Thankyou Fantasia...I've read through this thread and I recognised you as someone who has replied to some of my queries.

I thought perhaps because I was on the other side of the world I was being ignored a bit...trying to put some logical thinking to it I thought perhaps because when I'm posting you guys are all asleep, perhaps I would have more success if I got up at 3am to post!

I was planning to go through all my unanswered questions in the week before I go to WDW and repost them. Is this cheating?

The second example happens to me all the time. I'll post something pretty smart for myself if I dare say, and then one of the other "intelligent" posters comes and pretty much says the same things, and they all answer that poster!!!

Too bad you guys can't see me yelling at home "i said it first!!"

After 24,000 postings that still happens to me all the time!! I would think with all my posts I would be noticed but nope!!!

I was just complaining to DH about this. I responded to two threads lately with information, and was totally ignored! Everyone else is still carrying on like I wasn't even in the room.

But I guess it's a neat superpower to have, even tho I would prefer to read people's minds!

Don't you think that some people already have an opinion when they ask for advice? Then if you post the opposite opinion of what they want to hear- they just ignore you?
I have answered posts asking for opinions on should I do this or that? Long well thought out replies and only the people who answer favoring a certain choice get answers from the OP.

Hey, we have leaves falling on Market Street in two weeks. (Paper leaves blown from things attached to the light poles) Our excitement knows no bounds!!!
