I have had a dream ever since I was a child that I dream a couple of times a year.

I am at my grandmother's house trying to build a spaceship and I can't read the blueprints because my vision is blurred just enough to make them hard to read. Now that I'm older and definitely need bifocals, I have realized that my vision now is exactly like in my dream. And come to think of it, I have not dreamed this certain dream since I have been having trouble with my eyesight.

Since I have worn glassed since I was a child, this dream has always bothered me because my eyesight is very important to me.

Oh absolutely, many, many dreams. One of them is particularily terrifying!!

I'm at my grandparent's country home, a place with many small cabins. And I can't find any of my family, so I'm running from cabin to cabin looking for them. I'm getting very upset and finally in the distance I see a woman in a long, old-time blue dress with her back to me. I run up to her and just as I reach her, she turns around and she has NO FACE!!!! Just blank skin!

I always wake up gasping and shaking and it takes me hours to get back to sleep. I've been having this dream since I was 5 and I'm always my real age in the dream. I'm shuddering just thinking about it.:(

When I was little I used to ask to take my nap on the bed in our guest room. It made me a little nervous because it was an antique bed and pretty high off the floor compared to my bed. Oh, and you need to know that we had taken a vacation to California and Disneyland via the Grand Canyon the summer before.

My dream was that I was leaning on the railing around the edge of the Grand Canyon. My mother who is afraid of heights would tell me to get back (which she actually did when we visited). The railing would break, in slow motion, and I would start to fall. As I fell I would actually fall off that big bed.

After 2 or 3 of these episodes, I quit napping on that bed. I did have the bed as my bed many years later and the dream didn't come with it.

I have a lot of the same type of dream. I'm always in the same grocerie store but sometimes I can find what I'm looking for and sometimes I can't. It's bizzare to me, why a grocerie store?

I have 2 dreams that are "re-run" all the time.

The first one is that I am stuck in Chicago at night in an unfamiliar neighborhood and can't get home. I keep trying to get to the train station, but can't seem to get there.

The other one is that the houses next door to me (on both sides) are on fire and the fire on the ground between our houses keeps creeping closer and closer, but never quite gets to my house.

I'm sure a professional would have a field day trying to interpret some of my dreams. My husband thinks I'm a wacko, but I think it's the medication I take that makes me have such bizarre dreams.

Yes, I do. It involves my grandmother's house. It used to bug me a lot when I had that dream, so I bought a dream analysis book. I'm ok with having that dream now.:) I have the same dream about 7-8 times a year.

Not anymore, but I used to dream that my feet would slowly lift off the ground, then I would start zooming around. It was a nightmare, not a dream. It was terrifying. After years of having that nightmare, I read about controling your dreams, tried it, and haven't had it since. :)

2disneywego, I often have blank, faceless people in my dreams. If you ever figure out what it means let me know.

Saffron, my DH and my DS can both control their dreams. I've never understood how they can do it. When I have a nightmare, I get no relief until I wake up.

I have 2!

One is that its the day of my dance recital(I took dancing for years) and I realize I dont know my dance! Its a horrifying feeling. I havent danced in 14 years other than to go back to do an alumni dance in the recital 3 years ago, but this dream has been probably for the past 14 years.

The other is gross, but its kind of funny because there is now a commercial just like it. Ive had it way before I ever saw the commercial. Its always a place that looks different, but its usually a school, or a business type place. I have to use the bathroom and I cant find a clean one. The toilets are all overflowing, have wet seats, or are just dirty. Strange!

Whenever I am under stress I have this dream, there are slight variations but for the most part, it goes like this:
I'm in college, it's the morning of a final and I haven't been to class all semester. OMG that is the worst feeling.

Sure I sometimes slacked about going to class , but never to the point where it hurt me (okay so I had to buy notes a few times:rolleyes: ). It always feels so real that when I wake up I have to remind myself that I am not in college anymore. Ick I hate that dream.

I have had one since I met Roger that I wasn't able to get him at the phone number that I call every day. Sometimes, my finger wouldn't dial the last number and sometimes I would call it and I would get a laundromat or a "disconnected" message. The weird part of this dream is that last Thursday, I called him and got "the number you have called is not in service." It seems he decided to change his phone number to an unlisted number and tried to tell me beforehand but didn't get through to me. It was extremely scary, but he called and gave me the unlisted number yesterday. This isn't the first time that I've had a nightmare that came true, but the fact that this one was so personal made it scarier to me.

I guess about once a year I have a dream that I go looking for my old boyfried just to see him and talk to him. Since our relationship never "officially" ended, I think this is my way of keeping in touch with him, even if it isn't real.
Sometimes I dream that I am pregnant (which is impossible). I was never pregnant in my life but this dream seems so real. I checked out a dream dictionary and found out it means "wealth!" Bring it on!!!:teeth:

I had one when I was younger that I was Pinocchio and I could fly... I'd always run and jump off the loft of our house... weird..

I have one now all the time that I am in my last actual house and we are moving back in and my parents are together and the people we bought the house from installed these huge elaborate pool systems that would be insane IRL... same story everytime but the pools keep getting weirder! LOL

:jester: Well, that's getting to the point, Serena! LOL!

Not that I can remember, but I have a haunted house that has shown up in several different dreams and it's always the same house.

LOL, must have had a Jason moment. :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

It's not exactly the same but the idea of the dream is someone is trying to get into my house and take things. The weird thing is all I see is an arm through the peephole on the door. Other variations of the dream is my apt door is wide open and I can't find my pets.

I have two. One is I am being held captive by my jerk ex-boyfriend and I keep praying DH comes and rescues me. This one is very disturbing to me and I always wake up being ever so thankful it isn't true.

My other one involves either school or a dance recital. I'm there but I don't know the material at all. What's funny is my DD's teachers are always in the school ones and DD is the one who dances. I guess maybe I'm stressing out for her?
