If you have been on Google this week you know that this is the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street, and that Google has had pictures of the different characters on their home page.

So, I ask you, who are or were your favorite Sesame Street characters?

I liked 2 of them. "The Count" and the old non PC Cookie Monster.

Google has been great. Each day at work whoever goes on Google first calls out who is on the page that day and then we all go there to ohh & ahh over the design! In an office where ages range from twenty to sixty-five, Sesame Street is one of very few things we all can relate to (the oldest workers relate because their children watched it!).

Myself, I'm a Cookie Monster kind of girl...the original Cookie Monster. And Oscar the Grouch was pretty special to me, too! :thumbsup2

Elmo wasn't around when I was little but he was when my kids were and he is one of my favorites. The Cookie Monster is my very favorite though. I haven't watched lately to see the differences but I bet I would prefer the non PC characters! :rotfl2:

I recently marched with all of them at Beaches, it was a highlight.:thumbsup2

I have always loved Oscar the Grouch, maybe b/c I was so grouchy when I was little. But my 2 1/2 yr old is the biggest Elmo fan...EVER, lol.

Oscar the Grouch and Count von Count!

Speaking of Sesame Street, a few weeks ago my mother decided to take down a photo taken at my cousin's wedding some years ago. The photo was of our entire family...and my now-ex-husband is in it. It bothered me to have that photo displayed, especially now that I've had a new boyfriend for the past year. So when she took it down, I started singing "One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn't belong..." :teeth:

Oscar the Grouch "I love trash" :lmao:

He's on the Bonnie show right now :thumbsup2
