I realize this thread might be only about hotel rates, but it is hard to overlook the food savings with DVC. At Disney this is no small thing to overlook.
We just got home and we were amazed at how the $85 in groceries we bought during our brief store stop compared to the meals at Disney. We knew it was expensive to eat on site, but because we'd never had options before, didn't pay attention. Because this was our first trip home we doubted we'd want to take time to eat in our room, but with two five year olds and a four year old, those times back in the room were a blessing. They get up so darn early anyway that giving them breakfast in the room was a breeze, saving us lots of $$$ on pancakes and eggs!
I can't imagine how much money it will save when they are all teenagers! Next time we will buy twice the groceries!
