My favorite here in Washington is George. Small town, nothing much there, great concert venue!!

I went to one of the links listed from the thing that Monkeyboy sent - apparently Washington has a lot of strange names, mostly because there are a lot of places with native american names not sure why it's weird.

In Oregon my Dad used to live in Boring - it certainly lived up to it's name too!

Many strange names here in Southern Maryland. We have a town named Avenue, we once lived in Issue (oldest Post office in MD according to the postmistress), we have California and Hollywood right down the road from each other.

Our first realtor grew up in Avenue, and she said that once when she was ordering something from a catalog, the person just wouldn't get it. She kept saying "City?" and the realtor said "Avenue". Salesperson kept saying "No, what city?" After the 3rd or 4th time she said "The name of my city is AVENUE!!!!"

I actually had a catalog person say "bless you" in the same situation ("City?" "Issue." "Bless you, what was that city name again?") I love the places that ask for the zip code first, and use it to fill in the city!
