Bumbles, I agree with you. I like giving people a chance. Heck, I'll usually give 2. Sometimes we meet the nicest people and are surprised. You'd think we'd learn....

I have to say I have yet to meet a person from the DIS that I didn't like. Not one and I've met MANY!

Even those I've only met on the phone have been phenomenal people. All different, all special and I have felt so comfortable with them all.

What I love the most is the look of familiarity I get in the eyes of everyone I meet. We already KNOW each other in so many ways so the meet is just the icing on the cake!

Right back at ya CC...I hate to inform you Missy, that I am 60 and 1/4 inches tall, thank you very much.

CC is right. I fully expected to not like her at all last year at DIS Con and was a little more than intimidated and upset at friends for putting me in the position to spend the day with her (thrill rides tour) What a pleasant suprise that she really was NOT the witch I thought her to be. As a matter of fact, I was floored at how funny and kind she was, and she went out of her way to make me feel at ease. Still think she should have run for the hills when she had the chance....

I am glad we have become good friends, and well I am not as intimidated as I used to be....she can still be a meanie

Nope, never felt that way. I knew I was going to like the people I met. Even then, they suprised me. They were even better people than I imagined.

I've only met a few in person (and will meet one more before the year ends .), but hopefully I'll meet more of the incredibly multi-faceted people that I have interacted with on the internet.

I was a little nervous meeting Nativetxn, her being a MOD here on the DIS but she was lot of fun!!! I can hardly wait to meet her again and Dan and Yepod and Elaine and whoever else wants to be at the next Michigan Meet....if we ever have another one!!!

Exactly! This being said, honestly for the most part the people that I don't like or get along with online are the people that are most like me. I can be a ***** and have been a ***** many times in the past. That isn't something I'm ashamed about either, I'm proud of it. I state my opinions as I see them and I make my own decisions. I am open and honest about the way I feel about everything.....according to the mods at times I have been too honest....LOL!

Anyway I have never met a DISer that I didn't like. I have met some that I don't have as much in common with as others but I have liked them all and am happy to call them my friends.

I wouldn't say no to meeting any DISer.....there may be a few that I would want some one else with me at the time....LOL! But I would meet anyone and give them a chance to see if we liked each other in person.
