OK- I have go to go to bed, too. I'm having issues getting up in the morning. Ok- I have always had issues with getting up early.

I just don't think I was meant to be a morning person.

And I keep yawning. I feel bad- the lady must think that I'm giving her "You are so freaking Boring" signals.

Damn, didnt realize so many youngins want to have sex on vacation with their parents. Geez. Glad to see someone is getting some though. lol I dont see how any of them would want to have sex while on vacation with their parents though. And even though Im sure they do have sex, and the parents know about it, its an unspoken kinda thing. Heck, Im sure my parents know I do it, but I would never while they were in the next room. UGH. Mood killer.

Glad to see you and DH still do it though. I just need to find a partner, hahaha!

OK. Here comes a RANT!

(Don't say I didn't warn you).


Today, I was at work, training and whatnot. My supervisor (Shari) is a very nice lady- very business for the most part, but nice. She is slowly starting to be herself wround me and not "Rule-following Anal Supervisor Shari"- by that I mean, she's relaxing, and making jokes.

So anyway- while I was doing pretend transactions on the computer, she was proof-reading the company newsletter. We were laughing at some of the mistakes in it (especially the ones where people repeated the same ones, like- "She done real well." ) Anyway- she gets to another page, rolls her eyes, and says I'm not even going to read this.

It was a FULL page diatribe about "This is a Christian country, if you don't like it get out... We speak ENGLISH- if you don't want to learn it, get out... This country was founded on Christian principles... yada yada yada"

To be honest, I think someone copied and pasted a chain e-mail that sounded like a country singer (who shall remain unnamed) wrote it. It was very "We love God and Christianity and English speaking people."

It was AWFUL. HORRIBLE. I couldn't believe someone actually submitted this for the freakin company newsletter. I was immediately up in arms- for 1: that does NOT represent MY views. 2- It was nothing short of propaganda. 3- It had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the bank, our community, goals, employees, business, etc. And yet- here it was in the employee newsletter.

Normally I would raise hell.

But- Shari (although she felt it was in extremely poor taste) told me to bite my tongue. I've only been there 4 days- and she said something to the effect of "they don't like rebels." Another guy saw it before it went onto our intranet, and he too, but again- is not willing to say anything.

I feel like this is WRONG beyond belief, but even my mom (who'd normally tell me to give'em hell) told me that since I've only been there 4 days, I should probably zip it this time.

I am just outraged. I understand that going in on Day 5 of a job and raising a stink is probably a bad idea- but I feel like I'm ignoring my principles. Not to mention, if I wrote some big long editorial about how we all should support Planned Parenthood (which I DO), it would NEVER make it in.

I am just disgusted and feel stuck and annoyed and pissed with no way to fix it.

I am sorry Becky...usually you get the first week behind you before office politics set in! I would imagine that a bank is pretty 'conservative', for lack of a better word.

I am so happy...just turned in my final for one of my classes and got an A - whooo. 4.0 average is in tact. So I guess that makes me...

above average smart, average $$, average looks - although when I was 20 I was HOT! (I mean, I must have been, because I dated really HOT guys ) But that was 20 years and 15 pounds ago, as the somng says! Okay, less than 20 years and WAY more than 15 pounds ago

Congrats on the AWESOME grades ktpool!!!

Yeah- I figure the bank is pretty conservative, but even then- it was just inappropriate. Not that I doubt a lot of people read it and agreed with the whole thing. That's kind of the general sentiment around here (I live in/around many small, all-white towns).

I doubt that going back to the bank and letting everyone know what a raging liberal I am is going to do much for my career (and in fact, might revive the popularity of witch hunts).

I don't know what to do tonight - no homework, though I really need to work on some petition-for-credits for a couple of courses.

I just had a Skinny Cow Ice Cream sandwich..they are SO GOOD and only 160 calories. I LOVE them! I know Skinny Cow makes other stuff, but our WalMart doesn't carry them :-((

I hate our Wal-Mart- it's the only grocery option near here.

I just went to the Skinny Cow site, and they have other yummy stuff, but I put my zip code in and it says "no info for your area" - bummer.
We really have only a Walmart too, a couple of small grocery stores, but one is really dirty looking, and the other is overall pretty expensive.

We have a Wal-Mart, and an Aldi's sad2: No thanks). That's it. Oh- and an IGA that always has rotten produce and no selection.

I'm a bit of a grocery snob.

Soon, though, in the town I used to live in- Dierberg's will be finished! Can't wait. I'll have to drive 25 min. to get my food, but I don't care.

I am so glad tomorrow is Friday.

However, it is also my sis's birthday, and I am hosting the bday party- which will make for a hectic day.

Poor sis. I feel bad- I was supposed to have her hair colored/cut for her birthday, and I can't afford it.

She totally understands, but I still feel bad. I promised to reschedule her.

Dad's surgery went well, but it turns out it wasn't for the pain. He was slowly becoming paralyzed. He'd been saying that he didn't like to walk because of the pain, but the truth was he couldn't feel his stupid legs! He decided not to tell any of us, because why worry us?!

It is a pain in the **** being Irish. Nobody tells anyone anything. You know your Irish relative is having problems when the wake is scheduled! I got all mad at him, but I'd do the same thing!

Doctor said, and I quote, "I am surprised he could walk at all." Also said that what she saw wrong with him is usually found in Dwarfs, so we're trying to come up with a Dwarf name for him, since he's the 8th dwarf.

Ok, so I got almost no work done today. I basically chit chatted around the office and took way to many breaks. Plus, the director was out today, and our supervisor is on vacation, so we acted like kids when there is a sub. We had a munchie/snack day, which means everyone brought in junk to eat. It was a glorious non productive day. Now I just got to get my act together and get my junk done tomorrow.

I love days like that at work! I like to either have non-productive days are have crazy-busy days where it is 5:00 before you know it.

And food days --so bad! We had one for a birthday yesterday and one of my co-workers (a guy!) has gotten into the habit of bringing the little cream puffs and mini eclairs from WalMart that are in the frozen section. OMG...they are so addicting.

OT - Don't know why I got to thinking this today. Maybe it was that Epcot sex thread from yesterday. But how many people do you think its ok to have "been" with. Im not asking anyone to tell me what their number is. But what do you think is acceptable. Whats too many? Whats the limit.....5 ok but 6 not? Would you think its ok to have a higher number? How high is too high? Would it make a difference if each one was justified? Is just one is enough?

See, had lots of time on my hands today. hahahaha What do yall think?
