Inspired by being a thread highjacker- the OT thread!

Well, Im about to hop into the shower and get some clean jammies on so my day can begin. Just popping in to see whats up.

Hi Stace!

Nothing much here. My house is clean, the lasagna is ready to go in the oven, and I'm just waiting for company, who should be here within 30 minutes or so!

Happy Mother's Day, by the way!

Thanks Beck. Im sure with all your trying that you will be celebrating next year for yourself. Enjoy all the trying though. ;)

Lasagna sounds yummy. We wont be having pizza till later, but till then, we stocked up on junk. Red vines, sugar babies, junior mints, sour cream and onion lays, dried tropical fruit, and popcorn. Im gonna gain today I just know it.

Becky,

You inspired me! I put a lasagna in the oven too. Well, mine is Stouffers, but they are the best. Almost as good as homemade and definately easier and cheaper!

My family is cleaning the house for me as we speak  - but I am directing more than I should and I feel :guilty:

Hope everyone has a loverly day :)

Just checking in. We are half way done with our Harry Potter marathon and Im pooped. Gonna order some pizza now, since we've only eaten half our junk. Then its back to the final two movies. But im in need of help...Im in a food coma!

Hola, chicas!

Happy Mother's Day all! That's all you mommies and you future-mommies, too. :)

Stacerita, I love that phrase you're always using, "That's a whole other Oprah."

What does it mean and can I copy off you? :)

Happy Mother's Day - for all moms and mom's to be, and anyone who acts like a mom :goodvibes

Winding down the day...played a little soccer, played with the dogs (which I never do), finished up a huge assignment and now I can relax and watch "Charmed" with dd. It is her fave and only has 1 episode after tonight :sad2:

I love Stacerita's "That's a whole other Oprah" too. Can I use it? It will be perfect at work :lmao:

Hi everyone! Well, I don't have much lasagna left (I guess that means it was good!!).

After my company left we went out to eat with my inlaws. Tried to go to Red Lobster- 2 hour wait!! Ugh. We said no thanks and stuffed ourselves silly at the Golden Corral (I had never been there... would have preferred Red Lobster, but not the 2 hour wait). Wasn't bad, anyway.

Now I am full and tired. It has been raining and chilly all day, so dh and I are going to snuggle up and watch a movie.

It means its just a different subject than the one I am talking about now. So if Im talking about something and then start to go off on a tangent, then that would be a "whole other Oprah".

Use up the "Thats a whole other Oprah" phrase all you want. I heard it years ago on a local radio station. I heard it, and claimed it for myself. But by all means, steal away and let others think you are clever, just like Ive been letting people think all these years.

We are still watching the last Harry Potter movie, but we rented it just a few weeks ago so we aren't into it as the others. We've awoken from our food coma and now are getting ready for dessert. My parents brought us some from a local bakery. Can't wait.

Mom and I are having lunch on Tuesday for Mother's Day. Just don't see the point in fighting the crowds on the day itself. :)

I love Golden Corral. We only go a handful of times a year, but one of my DSs and I love it!!!! :) (The rest of kids don't love it, but That's a Whole Other Oprah!)

:rotfl2:

For my Continuing Education crap I'm going to a Sex thing tomorrow! OK, it is about Sexuality and Fertility/Infertility. Decided to go with younger people stuff as am no longer hospice. Not much worry about sex crap with dying old people. :)

Becky, I'll be thinking 'bout ya!

I don't shop at Lane Bryant! How about coupons for tall people pants / skirts?

You only get coupons for Tall people pants, when I can find a pair of pants that I dont have to buy cropped just to look normal length on me.

Pfffft. You get to be able to reach things on high shelves. I just get to be short and fat. No sympathy for you. :lmao:

Wah! Nobody loves tall people. Do y'all have any idea how hard it is to buy pants? If the waist is too short, they pull in the area you least want pulling. And don't get me started on capris (which I love.)

If the legs are too short, your friends tease you about your high-waters. If you buy the special tall ones, they have to be altered, 'cause they're made for women like 6' tall.

Even blouses have to be long enough for my arms. But sometimes then the cuff part is too big, because I have little wrists. I'm no twig! I just have dainty wrists. :)

But, fine. Don't worry 'bout me. You all can take your coupons and stick them up your...coupon books. ;) :)

Learn something I can use!! :goodvibes

And, sorry- I'm with the other girls: can't feel too bad for you being tall and all. Especially since I'm only 5'4". Petites are too short, and averages are too long.

DH and I have been watching "The Mists of Avalon" miniseries- the book is probably my all-time favorite. The series, not so much. Ah well. It isn't horrible.

I'm going to LB tomorrow to spend my birthday gift card that MIL gave me early. And I have to replace my powder compact: the cat was sleeping on my purse on the table, and the dog tried to "eat" her, and she knocked my new MAC compact onto the floor and shattered it!! :furious: Why couldn't she break something cheaper? ANd less brand new? Ugh. Part of her "plan" I guess.

Well, back from the mall. I did ok. New bras, new jeans, new shirts and new jammies. I think I'm all set. Now we have to start packing.

Tomorrow we'll go get our oil changed, drop my dog off, sneak into the salon and get my brows waxed real quick-like, pick up the girls, and finish packing so I can stay up all night anyway because I'll be too excited to sleep- just like that little kid on the commercial.
