Inspired by being a thread highjacker- the OT thread!

Woohoo!! Go Sweetpea!

I always wanted to pitch, but I played 3rd base and left field.

She's the catcher for the team, but has really been working hard on pitching this season. She finally got her chance tonight.

Very exciting for her.

I would love to play softball now, but around here you have to be in college or a bar to play.

That stinks. My church has a summer softball league. But I also know of quite a few Beer-Softball teams too.

Holla!!!!

Just got in from the softball game (not the team I coach). The sweetpea was starting pitcher and her team won. It was a great game.

Congratulations on the win!

I used to play on my church adult softball team as catcher. I was so crazy ( I would get right down under the bat to catch the ball, practically laying on the ground :rotfl: ), that I was wooed by a lot of other teams. I ended up playing for Time Warner (Brighthouse), who was so scared of my technique they made me wear protective gear. :lmao:

Softball is a LOT of fun.

OT- Anyone have weird smell likings?

For example, I like the smell of play-dough and I don't think skunks really smell all that bad (in the grand scheme of smells).

:cheer2: :cheer2:   :cool1: :cool1:

I AM DONE!!!!

My senior project is FINISHED!!! :cheer2:

It's all printed out and ready to go and I am taking it to turn in tomorrow!!

I am so happy and relieved!!! :woohoo:

I tell the kids that I like the smell of my farts. They believe me and think it is gross! So fun to be a mom sometimes! :)

Big CONGRATS to Becky and SweetPea!

(My oldest son was SweatPea, now he's Pea, or Mr. Peabody. :))

Nieces told their mom that they like coming to my house because "It's funny to fart and burp at Becky and Mark's house" :lmao:

OK, I need a good present to get my SIL now that she's pregnant.

So- for you women that have been pregnant, what was something that made you more comfortable? I was thinking about Mustela creams for itchy skin and stretch marks, and maybe some of those suckers for morning sickness, which she's starting to get...

What are some other good ideas?

Get her a book called "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy." It is both helpful and hilarious. It was the best gift I received. I'd send it to you, but I gave it to my sister when she was pregnant.

It must be good- because she already bought it!! :rotfl:

I'm going to have to check it out though!

I have my annual "Well Woman" exam tomorrow. That's what my progressive and forward thinking gyno calls your annual pap.

I guess it does sound nicer! :lmao:

But, I am truly excited (I know- I'm the only one) but hopefully she'll give me some more info on my status and I'll get the 100% A-OK for dh and I to start trying!!

Oy- every time I think about it it gets a little scarier! Exciting and scary all bundled up.

On the plus side, now I can focus on trying to find a job. I'm going to apply at a women's shelter that's close, and then there is a sexual assault prevention educator position opening up in June at another place- which I would LOVE have. I really, really want that job. It's what I did before, only the same amount of money for 1/2 the work and stress.

so MW- did you order the green shoes?

If it means anything, MW, I liked those shoes. But of course I am an ancient 38 year old. :lmao:

I'll take one. Half my company got laid off today. Not sure if it was better to be laid off or be there remaining to take on twice as much work.
