Inspired by being a thread highjacker- the OT thread!

Not so much for weekend, I work funky hours, here and there. But I spend my entire winter waiting for summer to show up! Winter is so depressing. I considered going to doc and asking for some happy pills this year...think I should have.

But today is a great day in the Worshipin house. If y'all were planning a DIS meet for August 11, I won't be able to make it, because...

TOBY IS COMING TO CLEVELAND!!!!!!! I'll be at Blossom Music Center, a little drunk, and having a ball! :) Toby concerts are the BEST! DH doesn't like country (he has really bad taste in music), so I get to drool over Toby all I want.

:) :) :) :) :)

I hear ya on the winter thing. I hate being cooped up in the house, with long cold gray days. Blah. I need to move south. But I don't like HOT weather, either, so basically I'm screwed. :sunny:

And :cheer2: I'm so happy that you get to see Toby. You must be thrilled.

Looked this guy up on the web. I have GOT to listen to a Hasidic Jew Reggae guy! Will download tomorrow.

I think you will not be disappointed. I'm not one for religious music generally, but this song is amazing!!

PS- I recommend downloading the "Live at Stubbs" version.

Thanks, Beck! I'll do that!

Sylvester!!! How did you know Toby had Bus Songs? I'm impressed. I love "Hell, No." and "Running Block." He played them in concert last year and when he got to the line "She said, 'Hell, no.'" my girlfriend and I laughed so hard. Are you a Toby fan?

I cleaned out my closets and dressers today- that was an accomplishment. I got rid of old clothes/crap I won't wear anymore. Put away all my winter stuff. WWoohoo!

the only good thing about country music is the hot chicks. other than that it's all blahblahblah. Bob and Tom had TK on their show a couple of times and he played some of them. they were pretty damn funny, so some are on my Ipod. the rest of it is all hilljack music.

Please let me know if he's going to be on again.

Toby has LOTS of funny songs and videos. Many country songs are funny, but none more than Toby.

Anyone know what it means to "bough up"? (or maybe Bow, or Bo) He's got this new song where he's dating his pal's sister for a night, just so the pal and his girl can be alone.

"I tried to drink her skinny,
but she's still about 215...
Sometimes you got to BOUGH UP (bow up?, bo up?),
and just take one for the team."

???????

ya got me, we always called it 'jumping on a grenade'.

I checked the lyrics, it's Bow Up.

I never called it anything. Just did it. Had the second worst experience of my life doing it once...and it is only second to the time the guy broke into my house. He didn't really break in, the door wasn't locked - he just came in. But he still went to jail. :)

someone dated you once and came back for a second one and you had him thrown in jail? I'm surprised anyone married you with an attitude like that. :)

No, doofus. One guy I went out with and had a bad experience with - friend of friend's boyfriend.

A different guy broke into the house. I was watching TV and having a burger. Went to the kitchen for a napkin and found a strange man in the house. Yikes!

I also had a stalker once -recently, actually. Guy came to fix my toilet while DH was out of town, and developed some weird fixation on me. He went to jail, too!

Not that guys didn't come back for second dates...nice of you to be surprised that they would. Oh, wait, you probably didn't get a lot of that, huh? Sometimes, when you are NICE, people come back for second dates. What did you do, get your wife so drunk on the first date that she agreed to fly to Vegas and marry you?

I wasn't ever much into the whole dating thing per se. I can count the girls I ever asked out on a date on one hand. I was more of a hook-up kind of guy.

Color me surprised.

dating was awkward and boring, you had to sit there and act interested. just hanging out was much more fun.
Guys like you (were) are the reason most of my single friends end up crying.
