I honestly don't know if DH would think to come here or not.

Hopefully some of the friends that I have made here would miss me and call him and ask what is going on.

My husband certainly knows of my DIS habit, he is also a DISer. There are a few DISers who have my address and emails in case of emergency.

I have no plans of going anywhere soon though!

Nope....I doubt anyone here would know. My husband knows I post on here...but has no idea my name or anything, and he never reads these boards.
there is one DIS member that I know of that lives in my same town...so I guess if somethign tragic happened and he heard about it, he might post it on here....not really sure

I would notice! On the DIS, you were one of the first posters that I would recognize the user ID because I noticed you were from NH too.

Nope not a soul would realize it, probably in real life too. As a SAHM I don't have any co-workers to miss me, I don't go to church so I won't have a church family to miss me, since we moved I haven't really been active in PTA or other school gatherings, etc. I always tease my DH that if something happened to me he'd have to hire some extras to come and cry at my funeral!!
I could pretty much drop off the face of the earth and no one would notice... which could be a good thing, you never know!

My husband knows that if anything happens to me, he is to call Mackey Mouse and KarenNY. The DIS is my homepage and he knows that he could post there, too.

It is a good idea to let someone know what to do. Never in my life did I think I would actually find real friends on the internet, but I was wrong. When you post almost daily (as alot of us do) and you share personal stories, sorrows, and exciting events...you come to feel like you really know these people and you do care about them.

How very true. Never in my life did I think I would find such an amazing group of people who really care. I often say I think my Onlines care more than some real life friends.
