I ran into a girl I went to High School with at WDW...2500 miles from home, we ate next to each other at Pinocchio Haus. How odd?????

Amy (Amzey) posted on a TB post about the name of your school right after I joined the boards. She posted Cape Cod Academy and I was like OMG cuz they are my school's arch rivals.
Turns out amy not only went (she graduated) to my arch rival school (I go to Falmouth Academy) but she lives an hour away, is a ballet dancer, and we like the same music.

I studied for a semester in Italy when I was 19. Walking into the Colliseum in Rome, I met a girl who lived down the street from me when we were 8 years old!:D :D :D

It always seems to be in airports that I meet people. In DC while visiting family, I ran into a friend of mine from my old church choir. At a tiny airport in NY I ran into someone I had classes with in college. And on a plane ride back from WDW, we were seated next to a really good friend of a co-worker/friend of my DH's (the two had never met before then).

I was walking through the maze at Alien Encounter when I suddenly came face to face with a cousin whom I hadn't seen for almost 10 years. It truly is a small world.

I was cutting a ladies hair and she was here (Fl) visiting her family, She was from Ma. and new my dad when he use to racecars at Norwood arena in Ma!! How about that!!

I sat next to a woman at a WDW parade, carried on a conversation with her for about 30 minutes, and it wasn't until she recognized my husband did we realize that we were best friends in 9th grade. :teeth: Her family moved away and I never saw her again after 9th grade. Funny thing is, once I knew who she was, I realized she really hadn't changed that much.

The great news is we now keep in touch after our chance meeting. In fact, she was recently here in D.C. and we had lunch. :)

My husband moved to Florida to start his new job. I stayed in Maryland to sell our house. One weekend I flew down to visit him and we went to EPCOT. Somewhere near The Living Seas we ran into this guy that he used to work with (we both worked with him, actually!) It was funny, because we used to see people that looked like this guy everywhere, and we finally ran into "the real guy". :)

The Bell-hop at the Dolphin had been a wrestler at the college here in town and good friends with a neighbor down the street from me. We had a great talk about our little town 2,000 miles away with this nice young man!!:D

Katerbell posted a thread here a few months ago about the round of layoffs IBM was about to go through. When I saw she lived in Mass., I sent her a PM to see if she knew someone I used to work with @ IBM when I lived in Maine. Turned out she knows her!

When we first moved into this house, a woman who lived in back of us was out playing with her dog, a beautiful Alaskan Malmute. Well, I love dogs, so I had to go and say something to her. After we got to talking, turns out she went to H.S. with my DH's cousin in Pennsylvania! She even pulled out her old yearbook, and I saw my cousin-in-laws graduation photo!

A couple of years ago SO and I went to Islands of Adventure. While walking down one of the paths we spotted a guy who looked a lot like his older brother....turns out it was his brother. He was supposed to be in North Carolina at the time on a business thing, but it got canceled. He went to IoA with his old "big brother" (from big brothers/big sisters) and his wife on the spur of the moment.

SO was at a work function/party here in Indy for a business located in the same business park as his. He got to talking to a woman there who had graduated from the same high school we did in FL a few years before us.

my freshman year at college, i became friends with the guy who lived across the hall from me. he had a twin brother who went to university of michigan, and coincidentally, he lived across the hall from my cousin!

but wait -- it gets wierder!

when the twins went home they told their parents about the coincidence and as it turns out my cousin's dad went to college with the twins' parents and were in their wedding and had lost touch after the 25 or so years after they graduated!!!

Our "small world" happened here on the CB. We lived in Phoenix, and had been on the DIS boards a little while, and found the person who lived in our old house in Michigan. We had moved out 18 years earlier.

Daniel and I were at the Disney-MGM Studios in July and walking through Walt's exhibit. Then a CM approaches me and asks if I was at Disneyana in 1997. He actually remembered my face from a brief conversation we had while standing in line at Disneyana. I remembered the conversation, but I never would have remembered his face.

Another time I was waiting for the MK fireworks on the roof on the Contemporary. I started talking to the man next to me and we discovered that we both hail from Camden County, GA. As our conversation progressed, I discovered that I had classes in high school with his son's best friend.

Yet another time I was playing park greeter at the MK entrance and a family comes running up exclaiming "Look! It's Scott's sister!" And I am thinking "Who are these people and how do they know my family?" They all had annual passes and one was not working. So I flipped over the ticket to rub the magnetic strip and recognized the name of the daughter. We were in Girl Scouts together and I had even been to their house.

i met one of my friends here at school because everyone told us that we looked alike, so we had to meet. it turns out that even though we live on opposite coasts, our parents know each other (all of them went to school in the boston area). but there's more! our dads went to to the same school ... in hong kong, and his aunt was one of my mother's bridesmaids. he's also from the same area as one of my good friends, and they have a lot of friends in common.

My husband's best friend lives in CA. DH once took a trip alone to Mexico. He ran into his friend with his wife while there!

In WDW waiting on line, we once ran into a family from DS's day care center.

My speech professor here in FL went to the same high school I did in NJ! I was a freshman when she was a senior. And my friend's husband used to be friends with her brother.

When I worked at the hospital, one of my classmate's (since 4th grade) sister was the director of the PT department. When I heard her name paged one day, I sent her an e-mail asking if she ever lived in the town I did. Yup! It's her! LOL!

I grew up loving horses and went riding with some friends of my dad's. There was a group of us, about 8 or ten. This was about 1981. I remember riding past a country store and there was a couple of boys there, teasing about they could ride faster on their bikes than our horses could run. There was alot of jokes.
In 1993 when I finally got a horse :) I told hubby about riding with a group not far from where his parents live. I even remembered one of the jokes. When I told him, he was speechless. Come to find out, it was HIM and his friend who was best man at our wedding!!

Gave me goosebumps.........

I was on vcation on an island in the outer banks when I was in high school, we went to another area for a day trip and I saw someone that I went to school with, I didn't even know she was on vacation that week.
