Inspired by all the pool-hopping threads...

Would you pool hop if you could

  • Yes! I'm on a quest to swim everywhere.

  • Yes, I like new experiences.

  • Maybe... (please explain)

  • No, it would be a waste of time/pain in the buttinski.

  • No, I have no interest.

  • I don't know what I think.

I know that nobody here would pool-hop because it is against Disney policy (unless they bought into the time-share), but if it *were* allowed, would you?

Oh boy :scared1: . With less than 600 posts, I'll guess that you may be fairly new here and maybe not aware that these type of threads go downhill very quickly. You may want to do yourself a favor and just have it closed before it gets ugly.

Not a troll and not looking for a fight. I'm sure people can respond to a poll and not start fighting. There are enough threads already where people are fighting about it - they don't need this one.

Already stated it is against policy and we wouldn't do it, so that's not an issue. :)

My personal bet is that most people wouldn't bother spending all the time it takes to go swim in another pool just to swim somewhere that had a different slide or whatever. We'll see.

Me, myself - I have never even wanted to pool-hop and if they allowed it, I still wouldn't want to bother.

I use the pools often and wouldn't want to have to drive somewhere (or take the bus!) to use another pool and then drive or bus back.

I think most DISers are rule abiding guests, so I don't think they are contributing to the problems at the Polynesian. I personally think it is MK day guests that are not even staying at Disney and locals.

So, do you have an interest in pool-hopping? If it were allowed, would you?

That's what I'm trying to find out - if anyone would really want to bother enough to do it. :)

Day guests aren't pool-hopping. I don't know what you'd call that...pool-dropping-in, I guess. Pool-dropping! ;)

I voted pain in the buttski. We are DVC members and I've never utilized the pool hopping perk. It just doesn't seem like much of a perk to me.

I like a relaxing dip in the pool - getting on a bus/boat/monorail to travel to the pool does not fit my style.

Before becoming DVC members, we stayed at CBR one visit and swam every night - always in the "local" quiet pool b/c I didn't want to hike to the feature pool. Maybe that says something about me - not even willing to "hop" my buttski over to the feature pool of my Disney residence! :rotfl:

I wouldn't pool hop even if it were allowed.

A pool isn't that important to me. If it were, I'd stay a resort that had the type of pool I'd want to use.

I just like to sit by the pool enjoying a stawberry daquiri.

If I could go to Stormalong Bay, I would. I'm planning on staying at the Beach Club in 2008 or 2009 just to see what it's like. I'm not really interested in any other pool to the point where I would travel to go to it--much more convenient to be near my room, and as someone said, water is water.

For my family of 6, to swim at my own house is an ordeal...towels? Check. Sunscreen? Check. Swim Diaper on the baby? Check. Arm floaties? Check. All 4 kids ready? Check. "Wait, Mom, don't get in the pool, you are still wearing your clothes!"

no way would I pool hop. What a pain that would be. I'd have enough junk packed to last a week just to get all 6 of us somewhere else and back!

If it were allowed by Disney I'd visit Stormalong Bay once. Pool hopping would be a pain in the butt but I've always wanted to swim in Stormalong Bay and I've never had a desire to stay at the YC or BC.

We are DVC members and when we were staying at Saratoga the kids realy wanted to slide out of the clowns mouth so we pool hopped to the BW.:goodvibes

When we first started travelling to WDW we were allowed to pool hop. We never bothered. It was too much hassle.

:rotfl2: Yep I agree it sounds like my house(but w/2 kids instead of 4) I also voted for pain in the but;)
