As a child, a kid that rode the bus with me was David Davidson. My mom knows a Butts family. The wife's name is Sandy Butts. I would have kept my maiden name if I wre her. A family member of my dh's went to a proctologist named Dr. Butts. No joke.

ETA: When he told me he went to Dr. Butts, I burst out laughing...I thought he was joking....guess not.

My dad was an elementary school principal and came across tons of odd names, but there was one that took the prize in all his years in education and I SWEAR it's true....

I'm not sure if anyone gets the same image I do when I see the name Sompit Thongkum. I work in an international company so we deal with people in several different countries.

There is a very large chain of funeral homes in the area by the name of Amigone Funeral Homes...not exactly pronounced Am I Gone, but to someone not from the area that's the first thing they say.

Also, I had a neighbor who named his son Justin Thyme. I laughed when he first said it saying "Oh, Just in time, I get it...." he apparently didn't.

I know a family with the last name Older-Folks. I probably wouldn't have chosen to hyphenate that name.
