Insp by HS thread: Do you keep in touch w/ anyone from HS?

I graduated in 2003 and only really keep in touch with 2 people..my 2 best friends basically--jess and brad..

I still keep in touch with my friends in high school. We graduated in 1991. We still all live pretty close to one another. We get together about once a month to celebrate birthdays. All of our DH `s get along get with each other. In fact they they all went to Atlantic City together a couple of months ago and had a great time.
I feel like we have been through so much together, High School, Boyfriends, College, Weddings, one divorce, and now children.

I graduated in '84, and have two friends from HS with whom I regularly keep in touch. The majority of my friends now are from college, and those I've made since moving to GA.

I keep in touch with several people from college (mostly girls in my sorority, but others too!) and we even meet up quite a bit with our kids and SO. But HS was different. I only talk to one person from there, and she was my best friend since grade school! While I don't talk to anyone else, I do talk to her almost every day.

Graduated back in '84 from Orange Park High in FL. And yep, I'm still in touch with my best friend from high school. We talk about every three to six months, and occasionally email each other. He and his wife became very close to my other half pretty quickly. In fact, when we see each other about once every year or two, they have their kids in tow and we meet up at Disney World.

My best pal and I stroll ahead, yes, sadly enough still laughing at bad fart jokes and cackling like 14 yr olds. While his wife and my partner stroll behind us, kids at their side, shaking their heads and rolling their eyes at our complete idiocy.

I'd be pretty sad if we lost touch. He's a great guy with an amazing family.

I too, keep in touch mostly with college friends, mostly sorority sisters.

But I've been thinking alot about my HS friends lately, for some strange reason?!

Is anyone familiar with www.classmates.com ?

Have you used it, does it work, is it free, safe?

TIA!

One of my sister's is still in contact with all her hs friends, still close to quite a few too. I, on the other hand, am only still in contact with one hs friend. I had three other people that I had remained close with, but lost touch when I got married with one, when another one when I had DS#2 who had severe health issues & just took all my time, and the third and I email about once a month & keep threatening to get together, but it will never happen--just two very different schedules/places in life.

there were four of us (you know the best friends ;) ) and three of us went to the same college. the one who we have little contact with even went to the same college as the other two!! and I am better friends with the one who went to the different college!!!

the three of us live in different states, but we still get togethter at least 4 times a year, and for kids birthdays if we can, and holidays!!!. Of course there are a TON of emails and phone calls!!!

I do send quite a few holiday cards to other hs friends.. but not too many. This year would have been our 15th high school reunion, but the school closed a few years ago and haven't heard anything since :(

I graduated in 1988.. :scared: Yikes.. I hate saying that.. I have one friend from high school that I still keep in contact.. I live in Texas and she lives in Colorado.. I miss her soooo much..

My two best friends I'm still in contact wiht, but they are three years older and one year younger than me.

I email with one girl from my grade and hopefully I'll see her soon. I just moved closer to her. I was going to go to her wedding a couple of years ago, but my vacation was rejected and I wasn't able to go.

Other than that, nope, I really don't talk to anyone I went to school with. THere are a few I'd like to talk to and find out what they're up to.

The whole 10 year reunion planning showed that some of them just haven't changed at all since high school. It's still all about what a select few wanted. They changed the date twice with only a few weeks notice. Not enough for those of us that have to make travel arrangements.

Hi Minnie!!

I keep up with a few people from high school. I do try to do better, but people are busy. It's just a handful that I have never lost touch with and they are all very special.

No, I don't keep in touch with anyone and I live one city away from where I went to HS. I loved my HS years, had lots of friends and was super involved in activities, but most of us went out seperate ways after graduation. I found that the things I had in common with those friends were HS related and once we were no longer in that environment, our similarities were non-existent. I do have very fond memories though. My best friends are the ones I met in college....
