Inkedupmomma's 1st PTR ever! Home sweet home..ugh.. TR started..link is up!

LOVE the calendar!! It is so darn cute. I have a Cricut and was thinking about making a calendar for my nephew to count down our trip but I never found the time to get it done. I feel bad about that.

Hey, can I come shopping with you? Sounds like quite the shopping trip! :lmao:

I'm a lot like you with the credit card thing. We have been putting all of our extra cash into Disney Dollars (when we can find them). I'm up at 1,200 right now. :cool1: HOWEVER, I've been known to whip out the credit card when it comes to things "Disney." ;)

I compared our schedules and we are both going to be at DAK on the same day. I'm up for a meet if you are.

Hi! So I am all caught up on your PTR! Your family is ridiculously adorable.

At the Philadelphia train station, feeling the magic already!
DSCF2117.jpg

Yay Philadelphia! If this was 30th Street Station and you were there last year, you were only a few blocks from my apartment! (I have since moved to the suburbs....can't argue with paying half as much rent!) Did you guys take the train to WDW?? How did that work?

I keep reading all these PTR about people trying to save to go to Disney but then continuously talk about all their shopping trips..but they saved money.. wouldn't it make more sense to not go on Disney.com(r wherever) and just wait til you get to Disney?? or not cut your trip short cause your "broke" and just not shop online?? I am an avid shopper, but I'm also not complaining about having to cut days or meals from my trip to afford it,but then blow money every chance I get online.. I just don't get it :headache: If you have money for frivolous items or coffees or new clothes or some stupid necklace you wanted on ebay, then why don't you have money for the trip you can't wait for?? Am I making sense here?

I am not one of those people but I make the dumbest decisions money-wise when doing my planning. Like I elected not to buy the 'water park and more' option for our tickets, even though i am planning to spend a night at Pleasure Island and a morning at Typhoon Lagoon, so it would have been good to have. I don't know why I decided to spend less money now in exchange for spending more later!

Woo hoo.. some people don't get my name and think I'm a rubber stamping momma..

ok THAT is hilarious! I never would have thought that! :rotfl2:

So after writing my post this morning I realized today is one month until we leave!!!So I decided to get totally cheesey and make a countdown calendar with the kiddies!! The picture isn't great and DD isn't done decorating it yet, but ou'll get the idea!

That is awesome. I have never made a countdown calendar. I get a kick out of the countdown ticker in my signature though. Only 16 more days for me!!
I'm sorry we'll miss you by a few weeks - I would love to meet you & ms. lurkyloo. Although at this point the sooner we get to WDW the better - I can't WAIT for vacation!!

Trust me - your day will get even MORE confusing after you meet Lurkyloo! :rotfl2:

Yep - it's Trail's End. They went to, like, cold sandwiches or something at lunch.

Now about your packing list - where would one find cheap ponchos for Disney when one refuses to shop at Wal*Mart? :rolleyes1

i'm looking forward to the lurkyloo madness though!!

and where would one find cheap ponchos.. good question.. def not wal*mart though!! target??

Don't feel bad about the calendar, he'll be happy with it or without!! I'll tell ya, it was a pita to make! but the kids love it!

you can def go shopping with me, i look forward to people that can keep up with my amazing shopping skills!

do you have a disney credit card? they won't give me one.. best idea probably lol. normally i don't buy anything disney.. i'm just not that type of diser. What I will end up spending money on is things that will be around forever, like our xmas ornaments we get in disney, snow globes (sometimes), and nightmare before xmas shirts..for my kids..not me.. i'm a clothes snob i suppose, although not in the label way.. does that make sense? I'm obsessed with disney world not the material items.. kwim???

ok, don't smack me.. dak?? disney's animal kingdom right??? and if yes, then hells yes we're meeting up!! (can i say that on here??)

Are those the only days we have in common.. bummer :(

why thanks you so much!!!

Yay Philadelphia! If this was 30th Street Station and you were there last year, you were only a few blocks from my apartment! (I have since moved to the suburbs....can't argue with paying half as much rent!) Did you guys take the train to WDW?? How did that work?

Yes it was 30th street station!!! we're you a drexxel girl, or just lived there for fun?? where are you now? and we sure did take the train!! See, I don't/won't/can't/shouldn't fly lol, so taking the train was the only option. I loved it, minus it taking longer than what the schedule had said. instead of 19 hours it took almost 25, so that ate up a huge chunk of our first day in wdw, which was a mega bummer. but at the end of the day it was all god, and we felt like we got to do everything we wanted to.. which was nothing really lol, we just wanted to be there. we're simple like that! but i would def do train again! we didn't this time because ds, is well.. bad?? a handful?? spawn of satan?? but the love of my life. him on a train with other people..just a bad idea right now. plus driving ended up being cheaper..or will end up being cheaper.

I am not one of those people but I make the dumbest decisions money-wise when doing my planning. Like I elected not to buy the 'water park and more' option for our tickets, even though i am planning to spend a night at Pleasure Island and a morning at Typhoon Lagoon, so it would have been good to have. Yes, don't get me wrong, I am not great with money. I will never claim to be. I'm probably the dumbest person i know when it comes to financial situations. I shouldn't even be going on this trip. But I am, so everything is going towards it. I'm not sitting here saying, Idk how i'm gonna make that last disney payment, but guess what I just bought online!!! HELLLLO!! don't buy the stuff online..pay the darn trip off!! I suppose I shouldn't give a hoot, but I just noticed a trend on a lot of people's reports and all over the board. It's like everything else in life, if you have money for a coffee everyday or cigarettes (just random examples) then you should be able to have money to make that credit card payment(another random example) I don't complain about those things anymore, because I realized how dumb I looked! To each his/her own, I suppose??? as for not doing the water park option thingy, you might actually be saving money. they charge you for all the days on that option, but if your only going one night and one day, then its still probably cheaper! if you plan on going numerous times, then it may have paid off to do the upgrade. I notice people on here often say if your only doing the water park one day then it is better to poop (hahahah poop.. does anyone else find that hilarious??) Also, I know your trip is soon, but couldn't you upgrade yout tix while there or before you leave?? or is it too late??

ok THAT is hilarious! I never would have thought that! :rotfl2:

Yeah, I thought the name was pretty in your face. but some people love teir rubber stamping... :rotfl:

I also love the countdown ticker on my page!! I have them everywhere, here,myspace..uhm that's everywhere pretty much :lmao: you know what i mean though!! and I agree, I can't wait for vacation!! I look forward to hearing how it was when you get back, it will get us amped for our vacation!!!all I ask is that you think of me.. a complete stranger while you are in wdw:thumbsup2

I'd also, like to say that I am so stoked to have the most awesome readers on my PTR!!!! "You's" guys are a good bunch:grouphug:

DH and I do have the Disney Visa. We each have one actually. :scared: We too buy the same type of things...ornaments for the tree, clothes, luggage and stuff that lasts.

Yep, DAK - Animal Kingdom! Cool, we'll plan to meet there. We're going to be there all day. Yay!!

I see you are from PA. DH is from Jeannette originally and has family in Crabree and Centre Hall. We visit there (Crabtree and Jeannette) often. Love shopping in PA where there is no sales tax on "essentials" and stuff.

I'm going to work on my itinerary cards over Labor Day. I hope by then to have everything finalized...yeah, right. I see myself putting them together last minute!

I will PM you our cell (or "digits" as they say) so that we can have a hope in he** of finding one another at the Animal Kingdom.

So what exactly are itinerary cards??

and def pm me the digis!! I'm a big texter... Holla!

My documents from Disney, with all our vouchers and luggage tags!!!Man are they good with timing or what?? We get there exactly one month from today! :woohoo:  :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: Now it's really setting in!! We are going to Disney, we are going to Disney!! I'm kinda pissed that my son's name isn't on any of the paper work though :( I know hes considered an infant, but he's still going!! Good thing I kept the original paper work, his name is on that!

Yes it was 30th street station!!! we're you a drexxel girl, or just lived there for fun?? where are you now?

I was indeed a Drexel girl!! Then after I graduated, I lived just over the bridge at 23rd & Walnut streets for years. After I had enough of the city I moved to the suburbs - I'm in the Abington area now.

Wow I had no idea you could take the train from Philly to Orlando!! Is it a nonstop ride? How did you guys entertain yourselves with 25 hours on a train??

Oh that's a really good point about the tickets! Maybe it will end up being cheaper then. I should run a few numbers.
Haha when i see POOP I think of that Spongebob Squarepants episode where he is watching a Krusty Krab training video. POOP stands for "People Order Our Patties". :rotfl: Sorry if no one here watches Spongebob and that makes no sense (Yeah I have the first 4 seasons on DVD...no I don't have kids...)

I think I just put the link in. Hopefully it worked.:upsidedow

If I can find my last TR, I'll link that in the signature too. I'm so not good at this technical stuff.
