My 3 yr old is allergic to onion and onion powder and sensitive to garlic. She loves chicken fingers, and I was wondering if anyone knew where I can find the ingrediant list? Also, would they make pizza for her without cheese- she also has a dairy sensitivity.

Thanks so much!

I would suggest call DCL direct as whilst someone on a recent cruise may know, they could change suppliers at any time or use a number of suppliers, so what was correct last week, isn't this week, let DCL have an allergy form.

Also on the ship use the head servers at dinner and you will see them in Cabanas at buffets they will know or find out or get a special order for you.

But Vendors change so get up to date information on the ship, as if any post days what it was it may not be that on your cruise. In particular vendors will differ in Alaska, or the Med to Florida.

Excellent advice! My grandson has egg and peanut allergies and I find both DCL and WDW to be extremely aware of these problems and will do everything in their power to accommodate you.:goodvibes

My daughter is allergic to garlic (as well as dairy and peanuts) and the chicken tenders/fingers have garlic powder in them. I am not sure about onion but onion and garlic always seem to go together in fast food seasoning. Also, I've never met a single other person with a garlic allergy, so *hi* to your little one.

But yes, they can make pizza with or without cheese. It just has to be pre-ordered the night before if it's in the MDR. We struggled with pizza on room service. We take our own tomato pizza sauce with us as their one had garlic in it on our last cruise and then they make it just like bread with tomato sauce and no cheese. You must make sure you let your HS know about their allergies as soon as you board and have it listed on your reservation so that they know in advance. I have always found my daughters dairy and peanut allergies much easier to handle on cruises or in any restaurant as everyone is clued up on them, garlic on the other hand is in absolutely everything. I'm not sure how severe your child's onion or garlic allergy is but my daughters is a cross contamination thing also, so they clean a separate part of the grill to cook her food on and we only eat in the main dining rooms. Cabanas is great for things like bread and cereals but it's too risky with anything else and DCL do tell you that they can only "safely" accommodate food allergies in the MDR. You may be able to pre-order food items for lunch too (chicken tenders/fingers made from scratch with just chicken and breadcrumbs) if you speak to your HS who may also work in Cabanas. We have also been able to get plain boiled rice or pasta from Cabanas. Be careful with cooking oils though as of course more than just one thing gets cooked in a fryer or on a grill. Plan ahead, check and double check ingredients (as they run out and source locally and change suppliers) and take snacks. Oh and enjoy. I hope they desensitise to their allergies soon. My daughter is 6, we haven't reached that point just yet.
