Information from DCL or lack of?

I just checked my 7-night Western on the Fantasy - it now shows a Sail Away Deck Party - I don't think it showed that before (or maybe I just am remembering wrong). Still no Pirate Night listed.
I just checked my November cruise and it shows a Sail Away Party, but no mention of pirate night. I also checked my Wish reservation next year and no mention of pirate night either, so maybe that will be just something listed on the Navigator?

Well I said it was ONE of the biggest things people were wondering about lol, and there's literally nothing to agree or disagree about. It's funny: I actually debated about even coming here after my convo with the CM because a big part of me thought some people would somehow figure out a way to be rude, and I'm busy and didn't feel like dealing with the inevitable snarkiness. Which is exactly why I don't post here very often at all. Lesson learned lol.

Thank you for relaying this information. Many of us here appreciate it.

Who can imagine the state of Florida suing Disney?

Maybe Disney feels bold enough to ignore the rule, at least initially. Maybe DeSantis's cabinet will be able to come to a quiet agreement with the cruise lines that won't affect the law in its other applications? Sort of a live and let live arrangement between the two parties? Both sides are in favor of resuming cruising, so they might be able to iron things out.
I can pretty much imagine anything these days. When I think of everything that’s gone over the last 18 months....I’ve thought not in a million years one to many times.

Trying to figure that out, between the state of Florida, the cruise lines and the cdc requirements is above my pay grade!

For all those sailing in Aug Sept and Oct PLEASE PLEASE feel free to come back and tell us how
it went.
If it is even half way normal I will cancel our Dec WDW trip and rebook Disney Cruise. I can't be the only
one waiting for real life experiences on the ship.

Much love and Happy Sailings!:sunny:

We have a contingency plan for our Dec DCL cruise as well. For my family, we're good with some restrictions but a vaccination requirement is important for us. Hopefully, we see an announcement that confirms what a pp was told by the CM.

Between dvc & dcl I can hardly keep up today. While I canceled our September & two November cruises because of the lack of information, this gives me hope. We are ready to book a last minute cruise and once we hear more, we’ll be ready To decide.

Sorry you got a less than nice response. I really appreciate you posting. We have 2 cruises in august and are on pins and needles waiting to find out the sailing restrictions.
I don't cruise until May, after moving my September Fantasy cruise. I appreciate ANY information that could possibly be straight from the mouse's mouth! Thank you!

Seems there are 2 more test cruises scheduled on the dream. August 1-4 and august 5-8. Not sure why they need 2 more test cruises. Not sure how this new info plays into the quest for info on the covid rules and restrictions either.

I am so grateful for your info. Thank you so much even if we should validate it, it's nice to just hear something and you shared so many important details we have all been waiting for. I should not speak for a stranger, but I honestly interpreted their message as appreciation for all of the information and that they found it all equally important. I hope that was the intent and I'm so glad you shared what you know.

CDC guidelines only require one test cruise (unless something goes wrong on the test)

My guess is this is getting the staff back into the swing of things, making sure it's a fine tuned experience, and not for CDC approval.

thats my thinking it as a ‘product knowledge’ /thank you cruise for their cast who have to sell it and who for the last 16+ months have had nothing positive to deal with at work..

That's good. I have to admit I am concerned about a test at port. Can you imagine making it that far and then being told oh sorry, you tested positive...buh-bye! :headache: Whether its a false positive, or actually having it and being asymptomatic, doesnt matter at that point. Theres no cruise either way. :( And obviously if I did have it I wouldn't want to get on a ship and infect everyone, I would want to do the right thing, but it would still be a crappy situation.
that’s my big fear, getting there and having someone test positive. We are schedule on the 16th. I just went to Walmart and picked up 4 of the at home test kits so we can do a test before leaving.

Well - it seems that another day has come and gone with no official information from DCL. This is emotionally exhausting. 😥
My cruise is not until Jan. 2022 and I'm addicted to this thread... Hoping / praying things won't be too crazy restrictive and that by that time things are closer to normal than what we're expecting.

Hang in there. I feel for all you peeps booked in Aug/Sept.

All together now....Breathe In......Breathe Out.....Breathe In....Breathe Out....
I said these words in clinicals for nursing. But I opted to return to a more male- dominated profession, and set nursing on the back burner for the very reason “breathe in… breathe out” is suggested here! I can handle the men day in/ day out… snarkiness and cattiness not so much. I appreciate the info posted (take it with a grain of salt), and appreciate the phrase “respectfully disagree” combined with the response also. I seek info, not drama.

Here we are another day. I’m up extra early, can’t sleep. Hoping something would’ve been released overnight, but nothing. So we hope today is the day. (At least I made it through the dvc 2 day closure/IT event yesterday.)

By the time I figured out it was up, my preferred resort wasn't available. Now I need to wait until 8am to try again

Regarding the additional test cruises on the Dream, I thought (and I could be wrong!) that the test cruises had to go to every port(s) to which the actual cruise(s) intend to sail. I believe the Dream didn't go to Nassau last week so that could be one of the reasons for the additional test cruises.
