Our son's girlfriend told us her name is spelled wrong on her documents and they have her address wrong. Will she have to wait for new docs or what will happen?

call DCL and inform them asap. it shouldn't be a problem for them to correst it. i hope it helps

Let us know what they say after you call. Just be nosy that's all.;)

I just posted a new thread concerning this exact subject(sorry that I didn't see this one 1st:confused: ).

It wasn't too much of a problem to fix--especially once DCL realized that it was their mistake!!::yes:: ::yes::

On our first cruise, the docs had my husband as a female?? his birthdate wrong and something else that I can't recall now...anyway I was using a TA and once we booked emailed me the confirm. sheets that come from DCL and we were able to make the corrections with no problems.

We added the name in early January through DU. Our TA did double check on the spelling and address and I confirmed that it was correct. I do admit that I did give her the wrong zip code but her name and address was correct in our last email before the docs where issued.

I sent and email to DU on Friday afternoon but have not heard back. I did call DCL a few minutes ago and she said that I would have to wait for our TA to correct it. So I guess we will wait for DU to get back with us.:)

Us too!!!!!!!!!

I just emailed DU this morning. My DH's address is listed as one in Rochester, NY. We live in Kentucky. Padre Disney, maybe we have your address and you have ours. LOL.

Thanks.
Cara

They spelled DH's name wrong on our docs. We had sat down and checked them out after they came in, but the night before we left and started filling them out we noticed an A where there should be an O. We called and they fixed it and told us to make the corrections in pen on the doc itself...
No problems!

Our TA with DU told us that we could just make the changes in pen but that she had told DCL and they would make the changes also. I guess my cousin said his DD name is spelled wrong on her documents.

Padre Disney, Tammy at DU told us the same thing. My DH said, "Why does something tell me this might be a problem at the port?" LOL. He will not be a happy camper if it is, as we want this trip to be stress-free and PURE relaxation. Hopefully, they docs will be fine with the inked-in corrections!

Cara:
Tammy is also our TA. She has done soooo much for our group. She probably half closes her eyes when she see's an email coming from me.:D

I will be taking along the email print outs from Tammy just in case we have any poblems at the port. I'm not worried but DH is. LOL Must be a male thing.

:Pinkbounc :bounce:

BEEEEEEE CAREFUL!!!!! We have had too many trips starting off on the wrong foot by not having docs 100%correct. With the Pat. Act and all the heightened security measures, it's a good idea to make sure you have any and ALL written documentation of the corrections that needed to be made, who you spoke with and so forth. We sometimes have problems with my daughter's passport even within US travel because we have different last names and addresses (her primary res is CA and we are PA). But they eventually ease off because she is a minor. Get names, document times of calls, etc. just to be on the safe side. And if it is more than a letter or two you may want to insist on new docs (if time permits). I let someone outside my family review the docs to make sure I didn't make an oversight. My name is misspelled consistently by most people and it has been a real hassle at customs. Of course you sometimes luck out and get those Customs Agents that just don't care.

Good luck and happy sailing!!:sunny:

I was just looking over my sons girlfriends docs a little closer. Her addess is wrong only on the very first page in the doc packet. BUT on the cruise embarkation form the address is correct, even the zip code is right. Her name is not correct on any of the forms. They have her first name off using an A instead of E. So we have corrected the E. How could they have the address correct on one page and not the other?
