We are heading straight for Daytona for a couple of days at the beach when we get in, and we'll need to pick up a few things.

We are arriving after 9 pm, so I really don't want to be wandering all over the place in the dark,

I also don't want to wait until we get to Daytona, as it will be nearly midnight by then.

Can anyone recommend a store that is easy to reach from I-4, or give me an idea of the best areas to check out?

TIA for your help!

There's a Publix on E Altamonte Drive in Altamonte Springs, less than a half mile off I-4, right across from the mall. I'm pretty sure it's exit 48. It's very, very easy to get on and off. You just get off I-4 at exit 48, make a left at the end of the ramp onto East Altamonte Drive, and it's about 1/2 mile or so down on the right. Because it's not in a touristy area, the prices and selection are "normal". We found the produce to be excellent. The only time I've seen the store crowded is on Saturday afternoons, because it's shopped by locals, not tourists.
