For those who may have been unaware, SWA allows passengers to use web-enabled wireless devices to checkin for flights. Here is the link to instructions on how to do it: http://www.southwest.com/travel_center/wireless_access.html
You can use your phone (or Blackberry, Treo, etc.) to do your advance checkin and get yourself assigned to a boarding group; hold your spot, so to speak. You must then stop at one of the airport kiosks to make a "reprint" of your boarding pass before you go through security, so that you have an actual printed boarding pass to show.
