Info on Pop Warner week

OH boy- I made a goof! I did not realize it is Pop Warner week while we are there in December- my DH is freaking out thinking it will be crowded. Does anyone know how crowded (or not) it is due to this? What resort should we avoid to stay away from the crowds? Thanks for any help.

it doesnt impact the parks really at all, honest. The value resorts are packed and there is sometimes spill over into the moderates. Attendance is still pretty light in the parks but the weekends are a bit heavy. I have gone many times during pop warner week and would go back again at that time honestly. The one thing that did drive me crazy the couple of times I went was sharing a flight with a team LOL. It happened to me three times in a row at that time. You may be lucky enough to avoid that!

the usual suggestion is to avoid the value resorts, especially the All Stars. There may be some overflow to the moderates. You've got CSR, I can't remember hearing that the teams stay there.

Won't be much impact on the parks except that I believe there is a night they rent out MGM for a party, and it closes early.

Unknowingly, we booked our first family trip to WDW in 2003 during Pop Warner week and actually stayed right in the middle of all the kids at ASMo. Other than it being louder than normal (from what I've seen on our last three trips) at the pool area, I can't complain about staying at the same resort. The food court was obviously prepared for the breakfast rushes each morning, and food was hotter and fresher, and took less time to get than I've had at POP or ASMu my last two stays.

Tell DH to stop worrying...you'll have a great time! That first family trip was the start of our Disney obsession...we'll be on trip #5 in a few weeks...and that's just in two years time! We've even started planning our trip to DL next summer.
