I've experienced the food courts at CBR and AKL and was not overly impressed. We are staying at CSR this time and I've heard fabulous things about the Pepper Market. What makes this better than the other food courts? Are there specific items that are your favorites?

Thanks! :mickeybar

YUM its great and they have servers who 'assist you' once you're seated....you choose food, they bring you hot beverages, etc., and it's great! Try the pasta with shrimp and the ceasar salad and the cappucciono!!!! OMG i'm hungry now!

The food was very good and there were a lot of choices (I'm big on variety), but the "servers" thing was a little weird and the prices were somewhat high.

We had a quick and casual voucher to use for it, so that took the edge off the prices, but I'm not sure we'll go back.

The servers basically clean the tables and get your drinks, and you pay 10% automatically for it. I'd have rather done it myself. :)

We like the food court at the AKL much better, for comparison.

I'll agree the food prices were a little high, but for the most part your meals are made fresh and you get HUGE portions. All of our meals there were wonderful. Especially this nacho special they did at the grill-- yummm!! If it hadn't have been 11pm and I was exahusted I would have inhaled the whole huge plate!

Its definitely a lot nicer than the AKL food court, although we enjoyed Mara, this felt less like a cafeteria!

If you are on the dining plan, you can get the steak entree (normally around 20 bucks)!!! The best food value for a CS voucher on WDW property.

I liked the Pizza and the Taco salad a lot. The quesedilla was also pretty cool. A bit more expensive than I thought it would be - but it seems that a lot of convention/biz people stay there - so I'm assuming they don't worry so much about pricing.

I loved the wet burrito from the Mexican area. I also had something from the Chinese area that was very good, but I can't remember the name. And the portions ae HUGE!

Also, I agree with the other posters that the server thing is a bit strange (and not worth the extra 10% IMHO). You can avoid the charge if you ask for your food to go. We usually took ours outside to some tables by the lake. :)

The food was all very good and we ate there a few times. The 10% service fee is really no big deal and if you are on the dining plan and use your CS credits you will be making out big time. The variety and quality of the food is far superior to any of the other moderate foodcourts. They are catering to the business folks who are at conventions at the resort. The daily specials were very, very good too along with those frozen Margaritas (spelling).

can you get the items to go? do they still tack on 10%?
"TO GO" items do not include the 10% gratuity. Just make sure when entering the Pepper Market, that you ask for a "TO GO" ticket. It is stamped "TO GO" on the front.
