Where can I find information about the child care center at AKV?
Child ages?
Operating times?
costs?

From disneyworld.com:
Babysitting and Child Services
  • Located on the first floor of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House near the Uzima pool deck area, Simba's Cubhouse is a supervised activity center for children ages 3 to 12 that is open daily from 4:30 p.m. to midnight. At this delightfully themed playspace, children are invited to play videogames, enjoy dinner and snacks, watch Disney movies and interact with other kids their age, while parents are off experiencing more adult-oriented fare.
  • Together with independent childcare provider Kids Nite Out, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village also offers you the convenience of one-to-one in-room babysitting, allowing you the flexibiity to enjoy your vacation your way. You can even reserve a childcare specialist to accompany you and your family during your visit to the Parks, providing a helping hand where needed.
  • To make a reservation for Simba's Cubhouse or in-room babysitting, please contact Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village front desk or Concierge during your visit.

No mention of cost and we don't have children so we've never used it. There is no child care in Kidani Village except for in-room.

This is just off the top of my head but I think the cost is around $12 per hour, per child and there is a 4 hour minimum. Dinner is included in the cost.

There is a DVC discount (maybe 10%?) and I believe there is also $1/hr off for additional kids over 1. Not sure how those 2 things work together if they do.

Or maybe it's an AP discount? Sorry the particulars are escaping me, but we have gotten a discount since we have been DVC members and AP holders.

I think Vicki C is right that their is $1 off for DVC members
