Hi all,
We will be heading down 3 days earlier to stay at a relatives house before our cruise and I was planning on getting a National rental car at the airport.
My plans are to drop off my wife/mother-in law, kids and luggage at the ship if I can and then return the vehicle down the road. The guy at National said I can get a cab to the ship for $14.

Has anyone done this?
Is it faily easy to drop people off?

Also, we return, I'm going to rent another car for a day and drop it off at the airport.

I'm doing this because we'll be staying again at a relatives house that Sat night before our Sun night flight leaves.

Any first hand info would be helpful.

Thanks in advance
Jeff

we just did the same thing last week. DH dropped me, the kids and the luggage off at the port and he went to return the car to Budget. I did all the check in stuff while he was returning the car. Just remember you will need a photo ID to get back in the port area. Have you tried Budget or another car rental agency? All the rental agencies near the port have free shuttles to the port so you could save the $14 cab fare.

Hertz also shuttles to and from their local edition for free. Very easy and convenient. Was about 10 minutes from port.
