Does anyone have any suggestions for where I might find a message board with info for SW San Antonio?
Thanks!

I posted that questions several months ago and had several replies. You may just have to keep hitting the arrow back keys.

I have been to Sea World San Antonio and really enjoyed it. It does not have all the stuff Sea World Orlando does, but it does not have to compete with the other parks in Orlando.

The Shamoo shows are similar. There are alot of similarities but it is missing the Adventures of the Deep, The Artic Adventure, and petting areas for animals are not as big.

It is still alot of fun though. One day would be plenty. There are several roller coasters but none as good as Kraken.

I tried searching the posts but I can't get any further back than late April no matter what date parameters I use. Is there an archive somewhere with older posts?

I haven't been to SWO since '90 and haven't been to SWSA since the first year it opened. I know a lot has changed so I want to brush up on what to expect and what to plan.

Snickers, when you say it's a one-day deal, does that include spending time at the water park? When we went eons ago we spent a good part of the day there, but they've added on so much since then (rides, water park, etc). Also we'll be going in Oct. when their hours are reduced. Do you have any tips to share on what to do and what to skip?
TIA!

The more I think about when I was there, I think it was in October of 2000. I don't know if the discussion boards go back that far. Barry would know.

The water park was closed and there was a Haunted Graveyard walk through in that area. The water park looked like fun and yes, it might be a day and half if you wanted to spend alot of time in that area. I had forgotten about the water park until you mentioned it.

We saw all but the waterski show when we were there. The nighttime and daytime show are different for the Shamu show so be sure to see both. We did not ride the roller coasters so I cannot say if they were good or not. We enjoyed all of the shows there and we saw all of the them except for the water ski show.

You will have fun not matter what you do there. Water, animals, and shows, what could be better.

Just out of curiosity, are you the Burkhalters from Dalhart or Hereford? Are you related to the daughter who is the OT? We may know each other. I am from Texas also.

We live in plano and I don't know of any OT's in the family so I guess not.

Thanks for the info. My DH thinks it would be too cold for a waterpark in Oct but we did it in Orlando at Typhoon Lagoon last year so I didn't really think much of it being closed. I guess I'll have to call to get better info....their web site is lacking in details. I read something about a Halloween special so I'll have to check on that. Thanks again.

You can do Sea World San Antonio in one day easily. Other than WDW, it is the most clean park I have ever seen (compared to the SA Six Flags park). The water park is nice, and the two roller coasters they have are excellent. Beacuse of the local Six Flags, it is really never that packed. They only have about four major rides, but the shows are real nice and it would be worth to go for a day.

Hi Carterman,
Any tips you can offer would be great. Do you know if the waterpark is still open in Oct? Could we do it in one day including the water park?
