Having been a longtime Disney Fool, and familiar with requirements of CRO, when I booked my AP discounted room through the BRP program online, I needed three rooms, which meant I had to do it three separate times using my own name for each room. I called later to rearrange who was in what room, and the young CM who answered the phone insisted that I didn't need to list everyone in the room, especially since there were children, and it didn't matter which room they were in. I let that go, knowing full well that she was WRONG. So, I called back another time, and made sure everyone who was coming with me was listed properly in each room. The CM I spoke to this time laughed and was quite surprised when I explained what the other unexperienced CM told me.

I am only saying this for those of you who are not familiar with Disney's policies on listing people in rooms. We are utilizing the Magical Express, so everybody needs to be accounted for. Even if this is a pain in the neck, take the necessary time to make sure your reservations are correct. Use the 1-800-828-0228 number in case you are put on a hold for a long time. Make the CM read the names back to you. Make sure everyone is listed where they should be. Make sure that the reservation is clear as to how many adults are in each room (otherwise, you may have an argument on your hands when you check in, as you will have been billed for more than two persons for each room). No matter what anyone tells you over the phone, or on these boards, make sure all children are listed and accounted for on your reservation.

Glad I read this post. Can I get your advice on my situation? I booked a BRP room online. We have one child under 3, and the system would only accept 4 to a room. I listed the older children only. I then called and was told that there was no way, and no need, to add the under-3 child to the room reservation. Any idea? Should I call back, or am I okay since he's under 3?
Thanks!

I think the reservations info is the same for all types of discounts, codes, bookings, etc., re: number of people on the reservation. We booked the free dining code thru the AAA. We were told under threes do not need to be listed -- and this was confirmed upon check in. I think in terms of the room allocations, it's "assumed" that under 3s will be sleeping in a crib and thus not requiring a bed. The reality may be different -- but that's how the system allows you 5 people in a 'four person max' room.

I do think you should call back and let them know that you are bringing a child under three with you. Since you already have the reservation, call CRO and just tell them you'd feel better if the child were listed as : one child under three.

I also have three rooms booked under my AP for February. One room is for me and 11 yo DD, another room for my Sister, her DH, and kids (1 yo and 2 yo), the final room is for Sister's in-laws. I have talked to 3 different CMs who all said that I need to keep my name on the three rooms and put one of the adults with me on the other rooms -- that if I add the 3rd adult, my rate will go up. They've said that this can all be fixed at check in.

Do you think I need to call again and see if CM #4 will actually put the husbands on the reservations?

Thanks, Disneyfool. Glad I did. Was told if I hadn't gotten him on the reservation, they would not have allowed him on Magical Express. Sure appreciate the heads up!

Well, I'll have to try yet again! Call #4 netted me a couple of very nice CMs who then transferred me to Magical Express where I talked with another very nice person, but . . . No changes to my reservation. I'll try again another time. Who would have thought this was so complicated. I sure appreciate Disney Fool's advice!

Please keep trying. Call 1-800-828-0228 (CRO,er...Central Reservations) select the number for "modifying an existing reservation"; tell the cast member that you already made a reservation online, and that you are now wishing to list all people who will be accompanying you. If they insist that it's not necessary, ask to please speak with the manager. After you've gotten them all in the right rooms, and everyone is accounted for, then give them your flight info for Magical Express. Don't do this until you've completely got everyone straightened out. Be firm about it. It will take some time, maybe a lot of time, but it's worth the peace of mind.
