I will be staying at All Star Sports for 8 nights. I didn't get much info from my travel agent about the hotel except that it is Disney property and there are some perks to staying on Disney property. It was a special package deal which fit into my budget so I just said sure and now am just curious what the hotel is like and what it has to offer. What should I expect?

We like it, but it is a value resort. There are no sit down type restaurants, but there is a very nice food court, with a lot of options. There isn't any room service, although I think you can get pizza delivered. The rooms are small (265 square feet - about same size as a regular motel room), there is a 25" color TV with cable, a room safe (small, about the size of a small purse), a table with a couple of chairs. Our favorite section is the Football area, close to the food court, pools (both of them) and the bus stops. The main pool is the warmest, so depending on when you go, that will be a consideration.

To get to anywhere, if you don't have a car, will be by bus, but it is a very nice bus system (at least in my opinion). Check out the following sites for more information (also, you can get some information from here):

We have always enjoyed our trip to Sports. Enjoy.

We've stayed there twice. It's real cute and very convenient. There is a kids' area in the lobby with Disney movies for the kids while you are waiting to check in. There is also a Disney Store , arcade, and a large food court with a grab and go section, as well. They do have Mickey Waffles in the morning! You can buy a refillable mug for about $10. It is good for the length of your stay an you can get soda, tea, coffee, and hot cocoa. They do deliver pizza to the room. You can also bring trays of food to your room (especially nice in the mornings). There are two themed pools, pool bar and hairwrapping and a tatoo station. There are also laundry facilities by the main pool. You must take your room towels to the pool and housekeeping is great about giving you more. The rooms are simple, but themed. Two double beds, nightstand, table and chairs, dresser,tv, area for hanging clothes, sink outside the bathroom and tub and toilet inside. The shower has shower gel and shampoo. Housekeeping here is great. At times we have had towel animals and our stuffed animals are always arranged. The room tv has all the great Disney channels and toon disney playing all the time (great for getting kids to bed and to sleep). You can get a wake up call from Mickey by using the wake up call button on your phone. You can also get Disney dining to make priority seatings. You can walk over to the other All Star resorts to check them out and you can use their pools and food courts. The bus system is great!

We have stayed there a number of times. It is our resort of choice if we are not staying at SoG.

Suzy and MJames41 summed it up nicely. We have stayed in Hoops 2, Center Court 4, Home Run 9 and Surf's Up 6. We have been on all different floors and have enjoyed the stay everytime. We found that being at Sports if there is only 1 bus for all three resorts going to a park, Sports is first on. Coming back from a park using one bus for the 3 resorts, Sports is first off. So going to a park, you are guaranteed a seat, coming back if you are standing or it is packed, you have the least amount of time on the bus to put up with it.

We take advantage of the mugs. They are worth the money you pay for them (10.99). You get unlimited refills of Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, Sodas, Iced Tea. Plus you can go anytime up to Midnight.

Also if you want, there is a McDonalds a short walk from Sports.

We too, had towel animals left in our room by housekeeping. When we bought stuffed animals, they would place them on the bed after they had made it. They also have a store near the lobby that carries just about everything you can get in the parks. If you are into pins they have a pin station near the bus stops, plus they sometimes have pin trading days.

I think you will enjoy your stay at Sports.
