Is something like this ok to bring for pirate night? Are there posted rules about things like that?

—I had a link to an inflatable sword from party city, but I guess I can’t post the link!

Not allowed

  • Firearm replicas, including non-firing, imitations, toys and their components
  • Exceptions: toys allowed on board
  • Store-bought light sabers
  • Plastic toy "pirate" swords
  • Plastic store-bought toy "Mjolnir" hammers (Thor's hammer)
It would depend on how real it looks, it seems.

Something like this?

The question for you/your child is would they be upset if told it was not okay once dressed for Pirate Night? The actual $ cost of not using it is not severe, but the emotional cost?

That’s the exact picture of the one I was looking at! I think that’s a great question to consider!
