I did see one of them at the Beach Club. They had it set up on the beach and was showing Cars on it this past weekend and had a small fire where you could roast marshmellows. Looked like they were trying to be like the fort.

We saw that too. I think it was Sunday when we went by. I stayed at the Beach Club a few years ago and thought it was pretty nice. Nothing like the fort though.

The one thing I don't get on these is what kind of projector do you need? I saw someone in the 700 loop this past weekend with a big screen. Thought wow they got their own campfire program lol.

I saw this fellow on the 700 loop too! Stopped and chatted with him a bit- he is from Panama City, Fla. They were going to try to project the UF/FSU game on it, and invited us over. We were next door in the 800 loop, and actually did stop by later in the night- they were watching Cars, and then the movie with the kid and the BB gun (what is the name of that movie?)

The quality of the picture was much better than I expected.

Thats just the screen...a decent projector will cost about the same, give or take a little.

kid with the bb gun, who DOES shoot his eye out!!=A Christmas Story (Ralphy's his name, I think)

Christmas Story

Great movie.

I want the Leg Lamp, but, my wife won't let me have it. I do have a Christmas tree ornament of the leg.

You'll shoot your eye out kid!

I've been looking for a projector but only found them in the $800 category, which is out of my league.

What kind of projector are you finding for around $200? What stores?

Thanks for your help!

eBay...where all lazy, cheap guys like myself do all shopping except for gas and groceries.

I have some outdated groceries I was gonna post on ebay, if you're interested.

You must have been around the same time I was because Christmas Story was on when we passed by. I was in the golf cart with no lights. Ooops don't mention that to anybody. My fuse popped and I didn't have an extra.

In addition to the projector (I think Staples had home theater compatible units on sale Black Friday for something like $399, they may have even been HD) you also need speakers...or at least a lap top with some pretty good output if very many people are invited to the party!

Thanks for the info, I guess I'm going to have to wait on that one. Rough month, kids b-day Dec 6, sister b-day Dec 13, Dads B-day dec 16, anniversary Dec17, and a few more B-days!!!!

Before you buy a projector, check on the price of a new light bulb for it. Some bulbs run OVER $100

The light bulbs will generally last quite a while since they are typically used for only a very few hours each week. One should last more than a year unless you use this in place of a TV.

we have the projectors in our new hs that i work at and we use them instead of tv's and overheads and they are on all day, 5 days a week...i have only had to replace one out of 100 teachers so far...

i know the day is coming where there will be more...but they do last quite a long time
