Not tacky at all thats what makes Xmas awesome the over the top decorations..and even though I believe that the infltable lawn ornaments and such are over the top they are far from tacky!! I love driving around at night after Tahnksgiving and checking out all the decorations.

I hated them in the past but my kids love them and it's made them grow on me a little. Tacky yes but they make people happy.

I agree. Yeah, they are a little tacky but they more of them there are, the happier my kiddos are. The are a heck of a lot easier put away then the old giant plastic things, that's for sure.

Our favorite outdoor Christmas decorations have become simple white lights on a few trees. A large pretty wreath on the house with a spotlight focused on it. A few red bows used in the right places. Candle lights in the windows. Simple & classic. Even better when there is snow on the ground.

A nice New England holiday scene.

Tacky ...YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! But thats what I really like about Christmas:santa: :santa: :santa:

My Christmas Decoration Motto "One can NEVER have enough plastic light up Baby jesus's on their front lawn"! :thumbsup2

Absolutely tacky... which is why I love them.

I especially like the addition to the inflatable scene that came out last year (the first year I saw them at least): inflatable nativity scenes...

sort of the inflatable equivalent to DISUNC's sentiment about plastic Jesus.

We got one to add to our (growing) collection.

Uber tacky.

I was at Lowe's yesterday and saw an inflatable Santa in a Helicopter. I had to shake my head and turn away. :sad2:

Inflated fine-
dead deflated on the lawn all day waiting for the turn on not cool

Even though I don't join in, I am definitely a lover of the Clark Griswold type of people. I love it when people go insane with the Christmas decorations. My only problem with the inflatables is what they look like during the day when they aren't inflated. Kinda just looks like a bunch of trash spread all over the lawn.

I don't want to spent $$$ for an inflatable Christmas lawn decortion that can be gone in seconds when a carload of tennagers go out "joyriding" with a BB gun!

TC:cool1:

I think some are tacky, not all. Some are kind of cute.

This thread reminds me about the time dh and I were headed to NYC for the weekend. We were driving along on a pretty quiet road when I spotted a Tin Soldier inflatable. The poor guy had lost about 1/3 of his air, and was slumped over. I turned to dh and said, "Oh look, he lost a lot of his air." Without missing a beat dh says, "Shhh!, he's tired!" :rotfl:
