Inflatable bounce house or water slide?

OP: In regards to ear plugs, I had to wear them from age 10 till 16. If you get the ones designed for swimming, they should stay in without a band of any kind. Just tell him to keep the underwater swimming and diving to a minimum. (I know it's hard. I grew up spending summers at a lake, and I always wanted to dive and swim underwater!) Even now I have to be careful about going underwater because I get ear infections. I keep ear plugs and the ear-dry drops in my travel kit in case I do a lot of swimming.

Thank-you for telling me your experience. This is new to us and DS is a little down about it, especially since we cancelled a Christmas trip to Great Wolf Lodge because of it (that was before his surgery and he absolutely could not go). Could you still do sprinklers and public waterslides (like at a water park) okay or should we avoid those? He'll have to wear his until he's about 16 also, hopefully not longer, we have to wait and see.

I think an inflatable slide is better as the inflatable bounce is too hot to use in summer. I got one last summer at size of 5.5m * 4.8m from an inflatable slide manufacturer, small but really great for my kids.

I know this wasn't an option, but I would pay the $350 the pool pass. Some of your kids are old enough to go with their friends. (sorry, I didn't see this was already suggested. I am not sure about the earplugs with a 12 year old.)

The water slide would be fun, maybe purchase one less costly so you could still do the pool pass, put our kids have fun with a slip and slide...they use a day or so and then it gets put away for weeks. The bounce house would also be fun, but very hot in the summer.

We have a bounce house too. However my kids are younger.

Since you said that your yard is not level I would be concerned with a bounce house or a water slide on it. Also concerning the ages of your kids, I think the pool pass might be the best option.

Check out earbadit.com They have bands there that I have seen boys wear and the bands looked normal like a sports band.
