infant triplets travel

Okay. So, at 4 months they may be able to sit up with assistance. If so, you can bring blankets and prop them in the wood high chairs. We had to do that out of necessity a few times when our trio were that age (b/c I forgot to ask about infant high chairs). If you are planning on driving to Chef Mickey's or the BBQ, I would probably bring them in their infant seats (assuming they are happy in them at that point) and put the seat on an overturned wood high chair.

September is not a hugely crowded month (even with free dining). I don't think the lines will be bad - so holding the kids wouldn't be so bad - especially with the 4 extra adult hands you'll have with you. I still don't think you need to bring carriers/slings to the park BUT the "just in case" part of me thinks maybe bring them the first day and see if you use them. If you don't, then don't bring them with you again. The aforementioned philosophy is why my DH and I always wind up overpacked whenever we travel with the kids.;)

I also think having a sling for the babies is a great idea! I just bought my first sling for my 7 month old and I wish I would have had this when my triplets were little! I recently found thebabywearer . com and was able to get good info on carriers for little ones all the way up to three year olds!

I also think two strollers are better than a triplet or quad stroller. We still get stopped constantly if we have our Runabout. Funny thing is the people used to stop us to ask if we had triplets, now they stop us because they want to look at our stroller! :confused3

Now from the germaphobe side of me: Bring lots of hand cleaner! You'll be in or close to RSV season. I've also read on the dis to bring your own sheets if you use the resort's pack n plays. I've read some yucky stories! We decided to bring our own pack n play for our little guy next year.

Most of all, enjoy yourself! :dance3:

I don't have anything further to add. I just want to say "You are a BRAVE family." I never would have dreamt of bringing my 3 to WDW at that age, simply because there is too much "stuff" to bring along. You will have a fabulous time, of course.

I second the thoughts on the strollers. It always amazed me how much attention the triple stroller brought us. Now that my kiddos are 10 - they don't look that much a like - very different in sizes, also. People don't usually think they are triplets anymore. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. (Stop rambling, Barb!) Also - I would keep them on their schedules as much as possible. We are just now getting away from "the schedule". It's been great because the kiddos always knew what to expect. OK - I'm rambling again. Have a great time! :dance3:

Thanks everyone. Lots of good advice. We can't wait. If anyone else has thoughts feel free to let us know.

Just wanted to add that many of the restaurants did have Infant High Chairs as well to use. Our youngest DD was 11 weeks on our last trip and Chef Mickey's and the Garden Grill had these. Most other places (Ohanas, Marrakesh, Cape May, Hoop Dee Doo, and Le Cellier) let us bring the stroller in so I am not sure if they had the Infant High Chairs too. Can't hurt to ask. Only place I held her in a sling was in San Angel. HTH :wizard:

We will be traveling in January with a set of twins (13 months at time of travel) and a 2 year old. We have bought 3 Combi single strollers for the trip. There will be 4 adults too. These strollers are nice and lightweight (all under 15 pounds) and fold up small like a umbrella stroller, but they have a lot of the features of the higher end strollers. We are getting them on e-bay for less than $60 each. If you search there you can probably find some nice double strollers too. I would recommend the type of stroller where the kids are front to back instead of side by side. When you are in stores or such, quite often the side by side won't fit down several areas where things are tighter. It makes moving threw tighter places easier. Good luck and congratulations!
