I started a thread on here about what mom's have done at restaurants with an infant...This is exactly why I LOVE the DISboards because one nice mom informed me that an "infant high chair" exists in Disney World :worship: Completely made my day since my next trip I will be traveling with a 3 year old and 3 month old. I really did not want to try and squeeze a double stroller (even if the CMs allowed) into a restaurant and I did not want to "wear" the baby either. So with that being said, If you have came across one of these fabulous infant high chairs, what restaurant were you at??? Thanks!

We just came back from a week with our 6 month old. We were pleasantly surprised to see the infant high chairs in the two table service restaurants we ate in (Kona and Whispering Canyons). It was the perfect size for our son, but he is also 6 months and can sit up on his own....I'm not sure if it would be small or supportive enough for a 3-month old. We brought one of those cloth high-chair liners and that took up enough space that he fit snugly in it. But all it is is just a smaller version of a regular high chair---no extra-high back or extra support.

One night he fell asleep during dinner and we just put him in the stroller reclined. That's probably your best bet with a 3 month-old.

Good luck!

Just noticed in your other post you said you'll have a double stroller....

Re: the "sling" thing that someone mentioned in that other post, a CM at Whispering Canyons mentioned the sling to us when we checked in. When we were sat at the table, we asked to have one of the slings (sounded perfect) but were told they're actually for putting the baby's carseat into. We weren't traveling with the carseat so couldn't use that. There may be another sling-like contraption that someone was referring to but if so we didn't come across it!

I know they have them at Chef Mickey's. I've seen them (they are basically like infant carseat type things- it's for babies that can't sit up on their own yet.) Someone posted a pic of their baby in one somewhere on the dis a few months ago, but I'm not sure where or what the topic was.

Here you go...

The infant high chair is most like the infant seats that are attached to shopping carts. They are on a wooden base and have wheels so you can easily move them around for optimum character interaction.:thumbsup2 My understanding is that they have a few available at each TS restuarant. We used one at Crystal Palace and Garden Grill. The other places we ate allowed us to bring our stroller in. (I'm not sure about availability at the CS places--many of them will not allow strollers)

My son was 4 1/2 months old and wasn't ready for a regular high chair even though I'd made a high chair cover in case he was. This infant seat worked great! I just threw the high chair cover over it and put him in. I would recommend having something to cover it with--they are used often and during busy eating times--even Disney can't keep everything clean! :)

We also used the infant highchairs in Chef Mickey's and Garden Grill. Seems like there was another we at too but I can't remember. Youngest DD was 11 weeks old then so these were perfect. Other restaurants that we ate at that trip just allowed us to bring her stroller in (Hoop Dee Doo, Marrakesh, Cape May) with the exception of San Angel where I put her in a pouch sling.

Just wanted to let OP know, that we've never been to a CS place that didn't allow strollers. We do go during a slow time though (Sept.) so I'm not sure if the rules are different during busy times of the year, however we always bring our stroller into CS restaurants without a problem.

To the PP, strollers aren't allowed inside the land pavilion in epcot, so you wouldn't be able to take the stroller to sunshine seasons.
It was a real pain for us because sunshine seasons was the only breakfast place. We had to park the stroller between the land and the seas and then carry the infant car seat in with us.

most of the wooden high chairs when flipped upside down hold the baby carriers...i wold try that so u don't have to take them out of the carrier...

We were not allowed to take the stroller into The Land (as PP mentioned), Cosmic Rays, Electric Umbrella, or the ABC Commissary. They had CMs standing at the doors making sure people parked their strollers before entering. They also had most of the doors locked and were only allowing people to enter through one set of doors so they could manage the line easier. This was on our trip in June 2011. We were also eating around 1:00 so it was probably considered a "busier" lunch time.

That being said, when we were there in September 2010, we were allowed to bring the stroller into all CS places that we visited except Sunshine Seasons in the Land building. My understanding is that there is not a time when they ever allow strollers simply because most of the activities are on the bottom floor and there is only one elevator. If they allowed strollers in the building, the line for the elevator would probably be longer than the line for Soarin' :rotfl2:

I hope you have a magical trip!

The infant highchairs are great, just bring something to cover the seat before putting the baby in it.

I have never had a problem bringing my stroller (single or double) into the restaurants when my kids were small!

Here is a perfect solution for the High Chair problem. My GF uses this and swears by it. I can honestly say that it impressed me, just wish they had it around when my kids were younger. It is portable, weights less than 1 lb, you can throw it in the diaper bag. I've seen her use it at the mall and of course, my house. She also used it on the plane ride to Disney (she said she could not use it on the take off or landing) but it kept her wriggler safe and secure while seated on mama's lap. Ahh, what will they think of next??!? :cool1::thumbsup2
