Anyone have this question before? Does an infant count toward the room limit? We will be in a deleux with 2 adults, 2 children under 9, 1 toddler & a 3 month old. We've stayed in the deleux rooms comfortabley with 5...but now we will be six. I remember there was some discussion about counting children under 3 toward limits.....anyone remember or have experience?
thanks.

Children under 3 DO NOT count towards the room count. If it has a maximum occupancy of 5, you should be fine. HAVE FUN!!!

Some occupancy limits (such as those for DVC 1BR villas) are expressed in terms of number of people "plus one infant".

GREAT!!! Knowing that an infant doesn't count toward occupancy makes my options alot better.........we have 2 rooms at sog....but I think i'd rather try to stay at another deleux (since i'm going to spend $200 anyway & can't be guaranteed connecting rooms!!).

cool!! :cool1:

An infant doesn't really count but the crib/pack and play takes up alot of room so the extra space is cut down. With too many adults, there may not be enough room to move around.

when we stayed at GF we didn't use a pack and play, but if we had there still would have been plenty of floor space to get around. i don't know what deluxe you are thinking of, but if it is GF, or one w/ comparable room size, i think you'll be fine!

If you are spending $200 a night for SoG, I'm assuming it's for two rooms. That will pay for *maybe* half of a room at a deluxe resort.

Frankly if it were me I'd be trying for one of the suites at SoG, that's is TRULY a bargain!

The sog suites aren't available for when we go....I thought of trying for an AP rate at AKL or WL for the time period which should be around $200 give or take a bit....I know GF is out & BW (bc they are alot more & hubbie wants to get the most bang for his buck)........i'm kinda sick of sog (3 times in 2 years...our next trip will make 4x). things have a way of working out....wish me luck!!

The standard rooms at AKL and WL are for 4 + 1 infant. They don't have daybeds.

I have a question related to this. Our party consists of 3 adults, child and infant. I was explained by a CM that there is an extra charge for the 3rd adult. IF there is, how much is it? We are staying at AKL and CR, which accomodate for more than our party is, so why the extra charge?

We stayed in the CR garden wing on an AP rate for $199/night and that was during peak season. You can also get a standard wing room for a little less. There was plenty of room in our CR room for the pack and play. Enjoy!

just double check with CRO...most of the occupancies are actually whatever # of people plus ONE under-three. We had that question on our last trip, and got 2 value-resort rooms because we had two toddlers/babies, not one.

$25 for deluxe
$15 for mod
$10 for value

The rooms hold the max for that room type plus 1 infant. The Values-holds 4+1 infant under the age of 3. The MOD holds the same except for Port Orleans Riverside which holds 5= 1 infant under the age of 3. Most of the Deluxes hold 5+ 1 infant under the age of 3. And the reason for this is there are fire code restrictions on the rooms.

As for the Additional Adult charges, they are charged becasused the rooms are priced for double oppuancy (2 Adults stay in a room). Any more than two you will be charge an additional adult charge. The Home Away from Home Resorts (one's with a full kitchen) don't charge any extra Adult fees. The Values usually charges $10. more for any adults over 2 and the MOD usually charges $15, and the Deluxes charges $25. for the 3rd and 4th Adults.

Hope this helps! :teacher:

Well we are staying at the GF in one room-2 adults 4 kids (little ones 2 and 3 months) I believe they counted the 2 year old- bringing us to 5 in the room -but did not count the baby. So if a resort allows 5 you should be ok.
