inexpensive Macon hotel

We are planning to stop in Macon, GA on our way to WDW and need suggestions of nice, clean, inexpensive non-smoking hotels. Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions!

I have never stayed in Macon but I have used Tripadvisor.com for lodging recommendations and the advice that I have received has always been good!!

I live in GA and my advice would be to go a little further, to Perry. Macon makes me uncomfortable.

Another vote for Perry (or try Warner Robbins)... there's a inexpensive Country Inn, located in Warner Robbins, GA (very close to Macon/Perry).

There is a nice Comfort Suites in Macon that I would recommend. It's right off the interstate and in a good area.

We've stayed in Macon a few times now on our drives down to WDW. I wouldn't go wandering around but the places we stayed were fine.

I highly recommend the Hampton Inn off of 475! The ladies there are so friendly ~ they kept coming around at breakfast trying to get the kids to eat more and then they made us fresh to-go bags on our way out. The rooms were very clean and the beds were soooo nice! I plan on staying there again in May with my HHonors rewards.
