We will be staying at www.sherkston.com in June. I added an extra night staying at the Quality Inn Clifton Hill, Niagara Falls. I receive an email each month from them and this month they are offering a decent room rate ($55.00 Cdn.). Since we will be in the area , I thought we would add an extra night to our vacation.

My ?:
Can anyone reccommend an inexpensive family restaurant to eat dinner at within walking distance of Clifton Hill? We really don't want to have to drive anywhere.

PS - The kids and DH don't know anything about staying at the Quality Inn, they just think we are staying at Sherkston for 5 nights and then going home. It will be such a treat for the kids to stay on Clifton Hill for a night. I know the Quality Inn is not fancy ( I have stayed there before) but I really like the location, outside pool with water slide (I hope it will be open by then), hot tub, indoor pool, play ground. The kids have been to Niagara Falls but have never stayed there. When DD first saw Clifton Hill two years ago she exclaimed "This is a kids paradise". It was so cute!!

fyi: the Quality Inn Clifton Hill has some rooms available in May at only $49 Cdn per night . If interested pm me and I can send you the email with the info.

Thanks

The Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock are all priced "all right" for Clifton area. You might want to check out the new water park at Brock Plaza Hotel (not Great Wolf Lodge). It's near Clifton Hill and you can get in without staying their. I think it's around $20 per person for the day. I shot the footage for their commercial. It looks great!! For a bit better food check out Remingtons of Montana. It's at the top of the Hill and the steaks are really good. A bit pricey though. If you want some more options let me know. I've shot so much foootage in the Falls over the years I know most of the places.

BTW: I used to go to Sherkston when I was a wee gaffer. You'll have a great time!!

If you want REALLY cheap :) , there's a Wendy's right there that actually has nice seating overlooking Clifton Hill (2nd floor) and the gardens/Falls area. The prices are exactly the same as other Wendy's.

There's a Hershey store where you can get large cookies for dessert -- $3/each though.

A place to avoid is TGIFs -- they have inflated their prices tremendously. $20 for a burger! $40 for a "dinner." I've been to them in the US, and I'd say they were the same price as local Toronto restaurants. This one was at least double what you would spend at asimilar Kelsey's-type place!

There is a Boston Pizza and Kelsey's right on Clifton Hills, both have great food at decent prices, and are less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

There is Wendy's, Burger King, Kelsey's, Boston Pizza, Ruby Tuesdays (Our personal favourite!) All priced reasonable. Also if you are looking for really cheap there is a family restaurant on clifton hill that has been there for years but changed names a couple times. I think it is called Clifton Hill Family Restaurant or something like that. Used to be a Howard Johnsons at one time years ago. Ruby's is alittle more expensive, but definatley worth it and a nice salad bar. Just my input here..............
